The Redback hybrid inverter retails for about AU $2600 which is really good for a 4.6kW cont output inverter combined with a 6kW dual MPPT solar inverter. The PylonTech 2.4kW batteries are around $1500 each. The complete system fully installed with 4.5kW solar array (18 panels) would set you back about $10-12K
Whenever I see a product associated with a smart phone app, I always wonder if it can be monitored and controlled via the hardware alone and the web? My concern is that the apps are not kept up-to-date over time, as that can be a real challenge. I've purchased products that were bricked by a lack of long term app support. Luckily, nothing as expensive as a solar PV system.
Hi Frank, the inverter spec's states max AC current from the utility at 40A which is around 9200w. I believe the full 9.2kW can be passed-through to the load (back-up) side when the utility is connected but I have not tested this yet.
