@@rickfresher Right you are. The French agreed to a peaceful handover of territories to us, and we were very serious in continuing the peaceful process. That's why, Pandit Nehru couldn't condemn the French in too strong a language during the war in Indo-China. Possibly French airbases were also kept active for some years, as the Government was reluctant to close them down radically. But soon they were closed down partly due to the smooth process of transfer and partly due to popular public pressure, especially from the Left.

Hyderabad is a beautiful city. People celebrate life. During Ramzan,you have to be in Hyderabad city after sunset to enjoy good food. All shops would be opened through out the night.
