great spreadsheet, thank you for this. definitely gives me a better understanding of what to focus on. having the champs listed as well helps me from going through my whole roster

Khoronar in provoke set will constantly AOE counterattack and keep decay on lock. Plus he can mischief tank and bring his own decrease attack aoe.

Great job. Very nicely done and I'll definitely point this video out to clan mates who still struggle. The one thing I don't get is why everybody seems to forget about Khoronar. He single handedly helped me to get into Hard and Nightmare because of how reliable his provoke is. If you factor in the Warmaster damage from constantly AoE'ing, the decrease attack/defense and the ability to tank, he's a top tier Provoker. Definitely at Var-Gall level if not like the others big three.

Loving your work still mate! Great stuff. I would have Sun WuKong as S tier block buffs personally! Also, Tagoar from Orcs criminally underrated. He brings AOE revive, heals, increase speed, damage mitigation and shielding! You are doing great! Would love to hear your thoughts on progressive gearing of champs (for lack of a better term) I have Archer and I’m struggling to hear her cause what I want to do with her I don’t have the right gear for yet lol anyways great stuff!

nice, thatll be useful for people, personally i have about 30% mby slightly lower amount of champs given in this guide but i def do have some decently good ones.. this will prolly help me make a good hydra team because despite having strong champs, i keep doing barely any damage cuz of the survavibility of my champs and the buffs on hydra

Thanks for the video. Would be interested in seeing a real test of the affinity breaker set in Hydra (also works with poison cloud)... maybe a new collab with Nub? Just did a quick test over 10 battles with Arbiter for tm boost and inc atk, with Ninja in affinity breaker and Rotos without, both hitting the Force head with single target attack. Ninja had 4 weak hits to Rotos with only 2 weak hits (bad rng I guess / I hope). Both champs weak hits would do around 18.9% of the crit dmg (i.e. 18.9k weak hit and 100k crit). For a real test I would use a Champ with a big AoE and a champ with big single target dmg... run it at least 100x in dmg set, re-gear to affinity breaker and run it 100x again. Counting weak hits and dmg in both sets and compare. A second test would be the reliability of the set when using it on debuff champs like Uugo, who need to land a hit to apply the debuff. After seeing the bad rng, I looked up the mechanics behind weak affinity... weak affinity does 20% less dmg, has a 35% chance of weak hit and has a 15% reduced crit chance. The weak hit itself has an additional 30% dmg reduction and does not activate effects like placing debuffs... reading the numbers the set looks less good than I thought... 50% of 35% chance to weak hit? That's not really much, may be better to go full speed or relentless to try again.

I pulled Ruel last week. His kit works so well with the archer. I took arbiter out and added ruel. I went from 67 million to 192 million with just that one substitution. Alongside Rathalos, Shamel, and Siphi.

Godseeker brings heals, revive, Auto revive, and buff removals. I do roughly 650-1000M Hydra clash damage and she's been in some of my better teams as a safety net.

I got my champs with lifesteal and 300 res with 200acc 3k def and 40-60k hp am i good for normal hydra?

Im using king galcobar as my block debuffs champ, really rate him and a good cleanser too.

A couple of glaring (at least IMO) omissions from the list : Sentinel as a provoker. He is a one-trick pony but, as a rare, is easy to build and can reliably provoke decay with his A1 at 80%. While a rare, he is an HP champ with lots of built in tankyness and his passive heals him by 10% each turn and can crit. Since you need to crit for the A1, that heal will always crit too. Not S-tier and maybe not A-tier, but he most certainly should be in the budget tier. Wuji as a mischief tank. She self buffs with a counterattack and perfect veil. Thus +2 buffs vs the rest of the team. Since one of those buffs is counterattack, a bloodshield accessory effectively gives her +3 buffs vs the team! She has A1 weaken, which converts from single target to AoE when counterattacking (which happens a lot). Her criminally low HP makes her dodgy for NM Hydra (though she works fine for me there), but there are ways to keep her upright with healing (using a set like lifesteal and/or having leech out on the hydra heads or else having a healer on the team). Again, not S-tier, but possibly low A-tier.

For Damage I really suggest adding Harima, Razelwarg and Whisper. Harima scales up insane and one of the best DD for Hydra. (also provides additional decrease attack and Provoke) Razelwarg scales with speed, provides increase speed/acc, and leach (really important for non reviver teams) and lastly whisper, I believe the best epic DD for hydra, with ignore def extra turns.

I use sulfuryon as my burner / reviver / healer / turn meter booster. and at around 270 speed on brutal he does as much dmg as my Rathalos. and more dmg than my Gnut. about 150mil on brutal atm. you should rate him ( also big shields at a 3 turn rate, + revive on a 3 turn. ) he's crazy, defenitely S-tier healer/protector and also a tier dmg at least.

I wonder if Sulfuriyon and Dreng could fit in S on damage with the burn and burn activation

Hey just wondering if there was any particular reason Visix isn’t rated as a provoker? Looking at building my first proper team and was thinking of having her in for -speed plus provoke

i would say damage wise this would be different depending on difficulty, Artak is S tier below brutal(even on brutal he is probably still S, Sulfuryon would be too i guess) while max hp come out brutal+

It's a minor change to an otherwise excellent list: Sentinel need to crit to provoke and will not do so effectively when weak affinity. Rock Beast is C tier. Master Butcher is B tier. (Sentinel D tier.)

Strategos Islin is also a greater version of Visix imo. very consistant A1 provoke. guaranteed 3 turn dec speed. protection for the team. also in my brutal team.

Var-gall is s-tier if its only rated by provoke. Imo hes the best of em all, even better than R N archer. Spd over 300 and he will keep it up 100%. Further his provoke is placed so he can provoke through poision cloud and weak affinity. And you should add RN archer as s tier for provoke. His decrease atk and ability to mischief tank is good to but then he doesnt do much. /vasquia

I found Wight queen to be really good for my hydra teams she managed as the only reviver because she reduces cds and revives with cds reset

You forgot a block buff Mithical champions which place the block buff with poison cloud and do damage According to how many buff take off. The block damage is not conditional but the damage yes. The champion is Androc from banner Lords.

I find Rector is bad for Hydra because with destroyed HP doesnt apply the veil unless you have 5star ascension and curing set even so she doesnt bring anything else super low dmg besides ress not much utility

I disagree with putting Mighty Ukko as S tier for block buffs. Since hydra heads respawn with a buff, he can't place block buffs before poison freak puts up the cloud. I have 2 Ukko and currently use none of them for hydra. Super disappointing champ.

Chronam is a beast in hydra. I say high a to low s. Got about a mill with him with sht gear.

Let me turn you on to Suzerain, just tried him yesterday and got 426M damage on my Hard key. He brings so much, decent dmg, all aoe's so good for cursed or provoke sets, a1 decrease speed, decrease weaken/defense. My team was Cardiel lead, relentless Ma'shalled, cursed set/4 piece merciless Suzerain, Arbiter, Uugo and a DPS build inquisitor.

I would make an argument that Warchief is S tier. A2 is the longest provoke in game, provoke at 25% on a 3 hitter A1

ninja is a S tier hydra champ does the most damage outside of Ariza his a1 can hit for 1 million damage on a dead head. Then he is bringing decrease defense and hp burn and explosion. Also ratholosis very over rated requires too much of a set up
