If Dr Dray is recommending toners, you know that toners must be very good. Not surprised to see mostly Japanese toners because toners (what they call "lotion") are their most popular kind of skincare products and they are usually top notch, perhaps even more so than Korean toners I'd say.
@@parishers6351 lol yeah when she said that I stopped watching her because my experience with them conflicted w/that. I came back looking for an old video and low and behold stumbled on this change of mindset. Glad to see it, albeit taking 2 years.....
My heart just took a hit with your comments about Co Q10, specifically, as it comes in Eucerin face moisturizer. I’ve been using it daily, AM and/or PM, since discovering it a little over two years ago. I’m old, and don’t have ‘ten to twenty years to appreciate’ seeing a difference 😕. It really is a good moisturizer, and SOO inexpensive, though! Thanks for all you do on your channel. You’re a doll!
Q10 is a powerful antioxidant. The antioxidant effect will start working immediately to slow down skin ageing by eliminating free radicals. So your skin will be ageing slower immediately but the collagen boosting and wrinkle smoothing may take a while. You could incorporate a retinal or tretinoin to see faster wrinkle smoothing.
I'm really tempted to try one these as my skin feels so dry from using Cerave's retinol, I don't know if the dryness is just a temporary effect and my skin will get used to it or if I should take a break from the product. I've noticed my fine lines are more noticeable. If anyone has had a similar experience, please help a girl out.
Your skin has to get used to it. She has videos on it. I used it only once a week for a few months then 2 times, now I am able to use it 3-4 times a week. Use something before applying retinol as that can do more damage than benefits.
Did you check out her retinol videos? She pretty much explains everything you need to know there... including what to do, if you're experiencing irritation or such.
hey there! I’m a BIG fan of lightweight, hydrating steps before a retinol. I use a retinoid everynight (tret) and I use a toner, essence, and serum (all hydrating/moisturizing, no fragrance or actives) before the retinoid. makes the BIGGEST difference!
i've been using the isntree green tea emulsion, and i really like it. the bottle is pretty big (120 ml) so it lasts you a long time, and the price is super affordable. their new sunscreen, the watery sun gel is SO GOOD! from your video, i got interested in trying the urea lotion/toner. Happy TWOSDAY (02/22/22) everyone 🌺
I actually do find immediate gratification using the Timeless Q10 serum 😁. I haven’t found another I like as much but may try your suggestion for the lotion with Q10. I use many of the Korean/Japanese products you suggest. Love the formulations. And, of course, your channel for guiding us ❤️🇨🇦
Same here! Use it every morning after their vitamin C serum. My skin has improved significantly in texture, reduction in hyperpigmentation and brightness! Agree the formulation and feel is super! Slow and steady…been using it every day for about two years. Love it!😊
Thank you Dr. Dray for making my skin and hair healthier. I love your content and I watch you daily. set an alarm on my fitness watch for every two hours to reapply sunscreen and I walk outside with an umbrella. My skin is so much healthier. Thank you again for existing and sharing the knowledge. YOU are a game changer in skincare !
Hi! Your makeup looks great today! Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner is my favorite hydrating toner. I have 52 year old dry skin and use retinols, and this stuff has made a surprisingly significant difference in my skin barrier. It does have a lavender fragrance which I love, but could be irritating to some (it looks like there are fragrance-free options as well). I thought hydrating toners were kind of a gimmick but this is hands down my favorite skin care product. I am interested in trying the Isntree product to see how it compares.
I used both Isntree and Benton Green Tea toners and I preferred the Benton one. But just as Dr Dray said, it is just my personal preference, type of skin, etc. Both are great toners, no harmful ingredients, very soothing and hydrating.
can u share why u preferred the benton brand? im also conflicted which of these two brands im going to buy. ive done my comparison research but still makes me confused 😅
@@skippynutbutter The Benton toner leaves my skin with no shiny texture/appearence. It is lighter and pair better with my serums and creams. The Isntree toner is a little heavy/shiny for me.
I have the Hada Labo Gokojun (white bottle) in my shower and the L’Oreal HA in my medicine cabinet. Love both very much! I also enjoyed the Hada Labo blue bottle one.
I was looking at the La Roche-Posay products in a store and some were in the men's section and some in the women's. The men's products had a sticker on that said 'Skincare for men'. They were literally exactly the same products!
I love almost every hada labor Tokyo product! I tried man's line, I love cleanser, so creamy and non stripping. Also highly recommend their SPF 30 matte from premium line
I only recently started using a toner for the first time and really like it. Not sure, if it's doing anything, but it feels very hydrating and pleasant.
I'm one of your fans who is a man and I haven't tried any of the Hada Labo Men's Line but I have tried a lot of their Gokujyun, Shirojyun and Gokujyun premium lotions and they all work well for my skin!
Thanks for the reviews! I cannot live without the Hada Labo Premium toner! I am buying a Japanese Polyglutamic acid toner cause of another video you made!!
Hi Dr. Dray! I live in Japan and am in love with their drugstore skincare products, especially Sana. Everything they make is exquisite. The moisturizer is very hydrating and delicious feeling. I would also suggest trying Mino Amino Moist skincare line, which has some great products.
Did a bit of very enjoyable and informative binge watch today :-) Have to say whatever it is you're wearing in terms of sunscreen today and on the lips or maybe the lighting, it looks really nice on you :-) And i am curious what you are wearing ;-) I like this tip about toner, light lotion/serum, in the summer as i tend to get oily i just apply something like this and then sunscreen on top thickly and good to go!
Hi Dr. Dray! Could you do a video about ingredients and endocrine disrupters? I feel like there’s so much fear mongering but it could also be valid, I just don’t know. Things like perfume, and skin care.
Hii I think ur the only one who solve my problem..I have done accutane for 4 months and now I font dry eyes disease.. So I have consulted alot of eye doctors nothing happened...plz help meeeee..
She's addressed this in the video, derm answers your retinol questions from Aug '21. However, I'd also look at videos from eye doctors who have also addressed this like Dr. Rupa Wong, Eye School with Dr D, etc.
@@db-gb5xi Thx for suggesting these videos. I just watched them both. I am rethinking retinal use because even though I am not putting it too close to my eyes and using petrolatum around my eyes, I'm still getting some dry eye/mild burning.
Good evening Doctor, I am a subscriber from Indonesia, but I don't understand English, Please include Indonesian subtitles, so I can understand. Thank you. And God Bless yo
Hi there! Your videos have already taught me so much. Finally I have a term for these bumps on my forehead and cheeks: closed comedones! I’m breaking out a looot at the moment, and I’m wondering if the new products I’ve introduced to my routine (it’s been a little over a week I’d say) could be the cause for the bad breakouts. I’m 24, and I have combination, acne-prone and dehydrated (I think so!!) skin, and the new products are from Green People: their “SCENT FREE ANTI-AGEING 24-HOUR CREAM 50ML” and their “SCENT FREE CLEANSER 150ML” (I’m allergic to perfume). I fear that the moisturizer might be too “thick” for me. I’m also using PC BHA 2% every night (is that too often..? 😅) and sunscreen every day. Please help! Thank you!
The “breakouts” you’re experiencing might just be purging bc of the Bha (since it’s an active ingredient) that you started using so frequently although your skin has no tolerance to it. Start using it only once a week and when some time passes start using it twice a week, repeat the process until it gets up to 3 times a week and just keep it there.
HadaLabo's US line is sooooo overpriced. Same with Curel. Buy the Japanese versions and save your money. I never buy Men's marketed anything unless its like a deodorant or cologne.
Very timely video as I have been considering using a facial toner but didn't have a clue about which one to try. Are you wearing a light colored eye shadow today? Your eyes look great!
Could you review IPSA Time Reset Aqua Essence, please? It's been a bestselling Japanese toner according to Cosme website in Japan. So I'm curious what your thoughts are about it.
Dr. Dray, the product that you linked for the Q10 Soy Product is the emulsion, not the toner..... I tried the emulsion and just ordered a refill few days ago, it is really good!!!!
Love the hada labo lotion as it helps to rehydrate my sensitive skin as my skin barrier is not in usual condition. Sad to say, the soy products from Sana gives me a little irritation... Sighs. Probably the alcohol denatured ingredient that burns my skin...
I find you so attractive. Your voice and demeanor is so comforting. It feels really soothing to hear you take in a low soft voice. You're physically so beautiful. I'd like to talk to you more. Which way to your DMs? 😘
Thank you so much for the advice. Do you recommen the Sana Q10 Toner for oily skin? Does it hace a milky texture or more like a slimy (snail Mucin) texture?
Dr Dray, how do you feel about Thayers facial toner witch hazel aloe vera formula , rose petal as in it includes rosewater and is alcohol free. I e been using it and it seems to work ok for me. I value your videos and input.
What about clay in toners? Rose Inc has a toner that has clay in it and as far as I know it's meant to be left on the skin. I know clay can be a good ingredient in masks but those are usually meant to be washed off. The other ingredients in the toner seem good but I wasn't sure when I saw the clay in there being left on the skin for so long.
Whats the purpose of using HYDRATING toner that contains ALCOHOL in it?Sukoyana toner contains alcohol, in long term it may dry up your skin, especially if you have a dry skin type...
I'm confused. I watched a video earlier today where toners were on a list of things she didn't use and didn't recommend that anyone use bc they aren't helpful...which is it
Please can you review 111 sk-II toner as it’s very famous. What toner is best for combination skin in summer and winters. Is it ok for combination skin to use instree green tea toner in winters?
Can you please do a video on glands under eyes. One time I got one I was able to pop it like a white head. They look like sebaceous glands under eyes. I don’t know if that makes sense.
Can I use Isntree Green Tea toner with retinol? I use the purple cerave retinol serum and soon the blue cerave retinol serum. Sorry still kinda new to the skincare game ( :
@@BabyGirl-cw6uj The emulsion is nice: moisturizing, not sticky but not mattifying. The toner (which I no longer use) made my moisturizer a bit sticky. I have oily skin 🙂
I recommend The Body Shop's Aloe toner. It's decently hydrating and soothes your skin by cooling it down!! Now IF anyone here is fine with a bit of fragrance, I also recommend Nature Republic's Mild cica toner. It's a creamy toner that is moisturizing and soothing(it has ceramide and madecassoside) to the skin. It comes in a 500ml bottle and is like 20~25 dollars or so depending on where you are.
Yes unless theres active ingredients in the toner then you should avoid using it the day you use your diffiren. As long as you don’t use both at the same exact time it’s fine.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻I’m lucky to have a very good derm, but Dr Dray goes above and beyond-without involving my insurance company! I don’t know about anyone else, but I always feel like my insurance company penalizes us if we go to the doctor!😾
The Isntree Green Tea toner is the first hydrating toner I tried and I absolutely loved it. Took my about 6 months to use it up and definitely saw a reduction of oiliness and redness while using it, and even now a month after using it up my skin is still doing great. I'll definitely consider repurchasing!
I’ve been using the Isentree toner for about a week now and while I like how it feels on my skin, I find the smell very off putting. Kind of like burnt coffee. And I can smell it for hours after putting it on my face. Did anyone else have that experience? Or did I just get a bad one?
@@dianamartin407 that's kind of odd, i've gone thru a few bottles of this toner and while i smell it at first while putting it on, it has a sort of tea leaves + dirt smell to me (smells like a forest, i don't find this unpleasant) i certainly dont smell it for hours.
