Dude this show don't make any sense. Ehy one lil can at a time? With all that big fat MONster hydraulic power you should be able to compress a 6 pack aluminum bottle set the same as them inky dinky one can at a time thing.
hi there its just a toy i made years ago for fun , made from left over parts , it only makes 1100 PSI , and usually i do 2 cans at a time . the green motor on the floor is to pick up the speed to what it use to be . thanks for stopping in john
Do you ever run into any issues turning those cans in? The recycling center near me won't take crushed cans...I guess cuz they don't trust people and think 'weight' is added and then crushed inside....lol, that's the only reason I could think of as to why they only accept non-crushed cans.
hi there B40 is it cold enough for you yet . my boiler is finally eating more then me . i think you are right about the cans .fine line on cans . your screwed either way here the weight /price is figured on the cans still having some type of drink still in them . so when i take in dry smashed cans i don't make out . so i could why people put stuff in side its the good guy paying for what the bad guy does . see ya friday snow coming hear tonight john
one thing you havn't mentioned on the different motors is their rpm. higher speed pumps more oil, and the cylinder will move faster. more oil is more work and does take more horsepower as you said. the 2 stage splitter pump is a good idea. Look forward to warmer weather as well. here in st. louis we have single digit temps and 8" of snow. at least it is light and fluffy. easier to shovel...
hi there that to cold . the oringal motor was a old old 3/4 hp @ 1725 . 2nd was 1-1/2 @1725 newer didnt work 3rd 3450 didn't work think the latest is 2 hp @1725 . the 1725 RPM is faster then i can load them . just need old HP john
Here where I live they'll take cans crushed or I crushed. They prefer I crushed cans because they have a machine that makes concrete sized blocks out of them and they compact and stick together if they aren't already crushed.
that crusher is so slow I would have to keep it next to my barka lounger and then my wife would divorce me and I wouldn't have any beer money so no cans so problem solved!
