It’s a 60 ton hydraulic hollow cylinder made by Enerpac. I welded 1” threaded rod to the seized pin in order to pull it out as there is no access from the other side.
..Good Job...! I used to work in a machine shop that did lots of hydraulic stuff...cylinders would come in like this...sometimes the actual operating rod-end would be torched off due to guys not able to remove cylinder intact....storing equipment outdoors, un-covered...rain, and lack of a grease gun....? .I guess mechanics would torch the pins off...sometimes we had to actually bore out the cut off pins enough to collapse them, and them weld some beads inside to shrink them, or even bore out the remainder of the pin. Lots of this stuff from heavy equipment Rentals....
What size rod did you weld to the pin. I have a 30 ton hollow ram and welded a 1" piece of all thread to the pin. The end result was I stretched the all thread until it broke. The pin did not budge.
I welded a one inch pin but grinded the end to a taper so as to get plenty of weld on there. I also heated the pin housing to a cherry red with oxy acetylene & then doused with a bucket of cold water to shock & release the rust.
I must be dumb. I assumed that threaded rod passed back (leftwards in the video) through the hydraulic cylinder, and was welded to the pin. But when it finally came away, there was nothing sticking out of the yellow cylinder.
I liked to see you have a gauge on it so you know how much pressure your making! I've seen guys pull all thread in half before not realizing the oressure being exerted.
