There is no Japanese company called Tuo town, the fonts and characters used on Tuo town box are CHINESE. I guess, Tuo Town knives are Chinese made, bad copies. you can google Tuo Town then no Japanese website page turn up. Plus, the way they test the blades looks stupid too. Thicker blade can damage thinner blade, that's why old knives beat Tuo town. I'm sure the old knife cannot cut even onions or tomatoes well.

This is all geometry. Whichever is thicker behind the edge is gonna "win," regardless of cost or material. Edit: which also means whichever does "better" here is worse at being used as an actual knife, barring a few specialized scenarios (bones, frozen food).

Very good comment.the "experiment" is only a joke and a method to keep likes. I try to buy a Japanese knife( sorry Chinese friend) in Europe but the cost is exaggerat, with all the argument of tax marketing, ecc. The market Is full of fake Damascus Chinese knifes, maybe 99% .All the "real", authentic " vg10, aus *** is fake. The chinese knife is not bad, is nice more or less, is ok for the price. Finally is only a piece of metal sharpened to cut things. The normal user doesn't need a Japanese knife in the kitchen. But, but, all want to have one.why?😊

The hardness of the steel is simply the difference in price. ________________________ This is Chinese 这里出现的110刀不是日本的事情。

For me, there is only one explanation for the phenomenon that a no-name knife for $2 is better than branded knives from companies with a global reputation, and in tests it performs better than the rest of the pack. All supposedly branded, very expensive knives are Chinese imitations!! Fakes. My view specifically applies to Victorinox knives. I have a set of Victorinox kitchen knives in my kitchen, undoubtedly original, bought in the company store three years ago. I HAVEN'T SHARPENED THEM TO THIS DAY! No need, they are constantly very sharp... They still look like new, there is not the slightest scratch on them*. Moreover, the company guarantees free sharpening in compliance with technological regimes if such a need arises... Lifetime warranty. And even though I spent a fortune on these knives, I don't regret a penny. They are simply worth the money. Having a set of these knives gives me confidence. And the most interesting thing is that, contrary to the prophecies of envious people, I have never hurt myself with them! * Another thing is that I take great care of these knives. I never use them without a wooden board specially designed for cutting and portioning food. One for raw meat, another for cold cuts and another for cheese. No washing machine!!!
