There is no Japanese company called Tuo town, the fonts and characters used on Tuo town box are CHINESE. I guess, Tuo Town knives are Chinese made, bad copies. you can google Tuo Town then no Japanese website page turn up. Plus, the way they test the blades looks stupid too. Thicker blade can damage thinner blade, that's why old knives beat Tuo town. I'm sure the old knife cannot cut even onions or tomatoes well.
This is all geometry. Whichever is thicker behind the edge is gonna "win," regardless of cost or material. Edit: which also means whichever does "better" here is worse at being used as an actual knife, barring a few specialized scenarios (bones, frozen food).
This is a Chinese knife. It has obvious Chinese characters instead of Japanese characters. You mistakenly identified a Chinese knife as a Japanese sword.😢
This is a Chinese $2 dollars Cheap-ful knife. It's cannot to represent all Chinese knife. 【He mistakenly use the $110 Chinese knife VS $110 Japanese knife】
I don't know where you bought that knife, but that Japanese knife is definitely a fake made in China. The Japanese on the packaging is of less than Google Translate quality.
Very good comment.the "experiment" is only a joke and a method to keep likes. I try to buy a Japanese knife( sorry Chinese friend) in Europe but the cost is exaggerat, with all the argument of tax marketing, ecc. The market Is full of fake Damascus Chinese knifes, maybe 99% .All the "real", authentic " vg10, aus *** is fake. The chinese knife is not bad, is nice more or less, is ok for the price. Finally is only a piece of metal sharpened to cut things. The normal user doesn't need a Japanese knife in the kitchen. But, but, all want to have one.why?😊
The $110 knife that appears here is not from Japan. It is probably from China. The words engraved on the knife are not Japanese in the first place, so you can easily understand. The hardness of the steel is simply the difference in price. ________________________ This is Chinese 这里出现的110刀不是日本的事情。
For me, there is only one explanation for the phenomenon that a no-name knife for $2 is better than branded knives from companies with a global reputation, and in tests it performs better than the rest of the pack. All supposedly branded, very expensive knives are Chinese imitations!! Fakes. My view specifically applies to Victorinox knives. I have a set of Victorinox kitchen knives in my kitchen, undoubtedly original, bought in the company store three years ago. I HAVEN'T SHARPENED THEM TO THIS DAY! No need, they are constantly very sharp... They still look like new, there is not the slightest scratch on them*. Moreover, the company guarantees free sharpening in compliance with technological regimes if such a need arises... Lifetime warranty. And even though I spent a fortune on these knives, I don't regret a penny. They are simply worth the money. Having a set of these knives gives me confidence. And the most interesting thing is that, contrary to the prophecies of envious people, I have never hurt myself with them! * Another thing is that I take great care of these knives. I never use them without a wooden board specially designed for cutting and portioning food. One for raw meat, another for cold cuts and another for cheese. No washing machine!!!
It’s interesting to observe the first milimetre where it’s possible observe the resistance of the cutting edge that determines the retention of the cutting capability over time…. And the cheap knife is very soft and loses its cutting Edge first every time!!!
I like very much all your videos.... but can you please invert the knives? the ones on the bottom put them on the top when you make the test...... I think the knives on the upper side of the hydraulic press always cut better..... if I am wrong please forgive me....... about the so called japanese blade I am not sure if it is a really made in japan knife......
Japanese knifes are in fact better as they are made from a stronger steel and so they hold there edge very well but the stronger steels are generally more brittle and that’s why Japanese knifes metal sort of flaked and cracked away
Just a hint. English isn't the first ever language. We've actually butcher language so much. In some other languages things are masculine and feminine. Sometimes that's just how things are translated. I'm sure they're probably using an app or Google to translate. Also, this is the *WORLD* WIDE WEB (www) not the United States.
@@teel6060 Yes ships, but not knives. Unless you have a really close and personal relation to your own knives. Which I hope you don't with the ones that are destroyed here on camera😉.
I've seen this video already some weeks ago. This one has been stolen from another site. You don't see faces on this video. On the other video you see who made it.
Also, how do you know the other channel isn't stealing this person's content? Did you see the person holding the knife? There are many RU-vidrs that don't show their face and scammers steal the videos and try to make it look like they made the video.
Only idiots don't know that Tou Town knife is clearly chinese knife.... The name itself spells it. Buying knock off at that price clearly want to rip people of their wallet and claim it was Japanese made poorly. I consider this test as invalid, and bull crap....
