▪ If you can't install a game in Windows 10 directly, download
www.virtualbox... and install Windows XP 32bit for example.Then install game there and move files to Win 10 (sometimes you need to export and edit registry too).
Hydro Thunder is a Motorboat racing sub-series game, originally an arcade game and later released for the Sega Dreamcast as a launch title in 1999. It was also released for PlayStation and Nintendo 64 in early 2000. This game is part of Midway's Thunder series of racing games, which includes Offroad Thunder, 4 Wheel Thunder, and Arctic Thunder. Hydro Thunder Hurricane, a sequel to Hydro Thunder, was later released for the Xbox 360 on July 27, 2010 on Xbox Live Arcade.

I was surprised that this game runs on my W10 perfectly, it didn't need compatibility mode or special settings, and recognized the Xbox controller Perfectly. With so much older game newer than Hydro Thunder having trouble running because of compatibility on modern systems. Thankfully, it's a really fun game.

@@shioyoutube9041 I have this game on an old PC but I'm unfamiliar with dgvoodoo. Could you please explain?... is that a additional download that adjust the display settings before booting the game?... or is it adjusting settings in a config file within the Hydro Thunder files?

The arcade machine Hydro Thunder was made on was based on many gaming PCs of it's time, so when the windows version released, that was literally the unmodified arcade code put onto a cd to run on another computer's hardware.

Yea, most races have a lot of boost and you can almost use it the entire race, also lots of shortcuts

This game needs a remaster or at least a remake, with all the tracks redone with new assets but keeping the look and feel of the originals... I think it would look and play amazing.. H2Overdrive was basically Hydro Thunder 2 ...so it looked as if it was heading that way already

@@retrogamingpub3186 I mean technically it was.. Brian Silva who was one of the developers on it and the voice actor on the original hydro thunder said in an interview (on RU-vid) that the game was almost done but things went a different way... I wish they would have released it

A part of my childhood is in this game. But I felt nervous while watching this video.. No secret passaged , no hitting the monkey on the bridge , no hitting the pirate ship,no hitting pinguus ,etc... That's how I used to play xD There was even a map where i used to hit a helicopter , it was always funny to me.

Remembered playing this and subway surfers on our school pc during substitute periods and had to literally fight ppl to get a chance since not all pcs had it, took me such a long time to find it, coz I had forgotten the name of this game
