Clemenson reduction's mechanism is a bit incorrect as Zn-Hg HCl does not reduce alcohol and also alcohol intermediate is not formed (check Wikipedia or Clayden).In Wikipedia it's quite well mentioned that Alcohol is not an intermediate in clemenson .Thanks...
