This is the most beautiful voice around today. And he did exactly with it what he should - sing a song from the greatest musical work of art there is - Handel's Messiah. I hear my Father in heavens voice when He sings. Makes me feel wonderful.
BRAVI! My dream has come true at LAST! For DECADES I have been hoping for some one to perform this as a Da Capo aria, rather than as Handel wrote it, with the segue from the B section right to the next chorus! Thank you all so very much!f And it is such an exhilarating performance .... The soloist is ON FIRE!!!!!! P.S.: I wish I knew his NAME! P.P.S.: I hope he triumphed!
It is amazing how many Pacific Rim musicians so embrace the Messiah, considering that its tonal structure is so unlike the music of that part of the world.
Interesting comment. Music is universal. From your comment one would think that only the Irish should listen to the Messiah since that's where it was debuted. Pretty sure music transcends culture regularly. Jazz, Classical, Country, Motown. It's all music and it is for everyone.
@@snowstrobe I take it back. He's a high bass, but a real bass. Just like myself, but young. He'll gain a lot of power soon. His tech is as good as any out there today. The next C. Siepi?
