OMG!! I can't only imagine what is in the mattress!! I would vacuum that with the power nozzle to see what is in there from other people!! I prefer to stay home, and still vacuum my mattress!

A very nice competitor to a rainbow. German quality and the only bagless vacuums that I like.

Ritello is German. Not sure if it actually is still built there. But I agree, I like this machine and it's a great rival to the rainbow.

Hyla beat them out pretty well in terms of power, they have more sucition and cfm.

It’s unfortunate that these aren’t more popular in the US. In the past when the rainbow was $1999.99 and the Hyla was nearly $4k, I though perhaps that’s why they don’t sell so well. I think once a vacuum approaches a $3k price tag, far fewer people will buy it no matter how well they clean.

We paid $1980 for our Hyla EST just a touch or so over a year ago. Mrsp was $2500

But where do you get the Hyla serviced? I am in the Piedmont Area of NC......actually in Winston-Salem and have had no luck in finding repair shop except one who indicated IF they could get the parts they would service the machine!!!!! HELP!!!!!

Yeah it had been stored in a Dusty area. It belonged to a vacuum collector so they didn't use it too often.

I don't think one is actually better then the other. But I do like the Hyla over then rainbow .

I don't know which is better, but I like the design of the Hyla power nozzle better than the Rainbow power nozzle. Rainbow places the belt down the middle and has a dead space in the middle of the power nozzle. Would have been interesting to vacuum the mattress with the Hyla.

What about Sirena? It’s much less expensive but does it work as well? Is it good with pet hair and will the fringes of an area carpet get caught up in it?

I would not recommend a Sirena the quality is horrible on those. if you're actually looking for a vacuum to use regularly I have a full list in the description of machines I recommend in multiple different price points. But in short you're far better off getting a traditional machine like a SEBO E or a Miele C3 .
