Hylands House has a remarkable history, in it's time it's been a movie star, a war time High Command, a horticultural award winner, a hospital and a POW camp.
The full story will be looked at in the next video, but until then, please join us on an aerial tour around the Estate.
Hylands House is a beautiful grade II* listed neo-classical Georgian villa set in 574 acres of parkland. The original red brick Queen Anne style house still exists under its white stucco façade.
Enjoy arial views of the 574 acres of leafy parkland, a haven to walkers and dogs alike. Wide paths offer excellent access for disability buggies as well as bicycles to every corner of the parkland.
Built circa 1730 the House and grounds are bursting with history, of which we learn a little of in this first video.
