Thanks for the games Andrew! I since changed the deck a bit to lean even more into the combat tricks theme. Just wanna add some small corrections : -Pair o'dice lost got me total mana value 12 back from my grave, also one of my favorite cards. -At 11:43 I also cast Bounty of The Hunt and Become Immense. To pump John to 40ish power, since I needed to ram Etali, then Jalbert.

Yeah mine surprised me as well. First few turns it was easy to get damage in because people want to draw too but i was just taking advantage if it more with extra land drops, wedding ring, smothering tithe and no max hand size. Not to mention sigardas aid lol

This game made me build a John Benton deck. Still tweaking it and getting more cards for it, but he's been a blast to play so far. Being able to just get him out on turn 3 (or turn 2 if you get lucky with a 1 mana dork on turn 1) and start swinging feels great, and people are willing to take the hits early to draw cards, which can come to bite them in the butt later in the game as the Commander damage racks up. Thanks @thetemp7858 for the inspiration!

Doesn't look like anybody caught that pair o' dice lost gets back the total worth of mana value, not the higher. So boxcars should get you back 12 mv, not 6

Played against a Hylda deck a couple of times. Basically kept the entire table locked down and tapped. It was the least fun I had in a game of EDH in years.

I built benton around the beginning of November right after a game with my buddy where played it out of the precon and turned it into a 20/24 with 2 copies of heroes podium. He was like who wants to take 20 and draw 20 lol I was like 👀 😅 🖐🏼 Also i built mine with a few more group hug cards like wedding ring with a little pillow fort and mainly equipments and creatures for boosting his power and toughness

sick and tired of Jalbert just ignoring the protection from green on that sword, he needs to take it out of his deck because he does it almost every game
