I use Hylos in soloq and ngl he's the perfect tank to carry in soloq. His ult + revitalise combo can tank a lot of enemy skill. I managed to get into Mythic with 77.6% winrate this season
Started abusing Hylos with that build ever since the patch was released at the start of Msc when i saw how Fwydchicken broke down his stats and build...highly recommend it
there is a reason why I follow fwydchicken. He do this pro analysis on updates and it makes sense on what he is saying. If I am not wrong, this combo is very strong on esme as well
My build on Hylos: - Ice Queen Wand - Clock of Destiny - Dominance Ice - Blade Armour - Guardian Helm - Tough Boots Why pick this? Even if the enemy has a dash, they'll have a hard time getting away. You're still safe from HP-based damage dealers who rely on basic attacks because of his 2nd skill and the item builds. Plus, you'd deal more damage over time than the enemy will. You'd have enough survivability to get a triple kill solo whilst taking a considerable amount of damage. MMs will think twice before attacking due to Blade Armour's passive which slows them down every time they do a basic attack on you, making them easier to chase. And concussive blast will be able to deal enough burst damage for you to kill them before you reach half hp. Previous COD and Twilight Armour on Hylos was nuts, though. Concussive blast and Twilight's extra damage passive meant you could solo kill anyone in the enemy line up as long as they're not those who'd chew through your HP through skills.
Hp based damage hero problem could be solved if the team is good. If the team is good they will target those hero first, those hero are very squishy and the jungler can easily kill them within seconds.
@cOOntenteditz Dyrroth is not a threat in the early, you just need to dodge 1st skill because that will slow you down a lot. Save 1st skill for his ult
Depending on enemy line up, he may be much better at XP lane than roamer. With the correct build and good understanding on enemy hero, hylos can easily out-sustain most meta XP laner and cut lane safely for easy rotation providing strong map control. The hardest to out sustain is probably Rizla and borge, but should be fine after getting DOI and sufficient thunderbelt stacks. Lunox can be easily countered by AS and Radiance combine to survive her ult and you can easily hunt her down after. Karrie can be easily countered by blade mail and vengeance combo instead of taking revitalize to survive her inspire+ult combo which allow you to easily chase and hunt her down. Hylos is a easy hero to play, but to play well requires good understanding on enemy skills/timing as well as good understanding on how much damage he can sustain without dying (similar to estes timing his ult depending on the amount of damage delt by enemy team). With good understanding, you can easily force a team fight using his ult to trapped the enemy in bad position. Forcing team fight exhaust the enemy team so that they cannot compete for objectives.
usefullness my dear . if you pick hylos to be put up against 3 of the most feared HP eater 1. Dyroth 2. trizla 3.pquito . you makin a clown out of hylos . coz the counter is . hylos is to keep moving, if he brawl in 1 lane . you keep the hyper wondering about . again, people already know Hylos biggest weakness is when his mana bar empty he will push the rest to his HP, this will make Zask a greater threat to Hylos . hyper Baxia can have an easy meal on hylos, and fakk yeah Odette is a great mage to take on hylos 1v1 . im a Belerick main, i realize i can saperate hylos from out of his team with Radiance + cursehelm + glowing wand build . and i just make that meta tank into dessert .
ive played hylos exp against yu zhong and it is quite bonkers and managed to win my lane and later into the game i was able to give my team alot of support with revitalize, hylos ult and being the Frontliner
I played Hylos a lot bc of the buff he received on the last patch note, and I played a total of 100+ matches with this hero with a high 75% wr. Here was my build for Hylos: 1: Demon Boots with Encourage (I buy these boots for extra mana regen which helps a lot so Hylos won't have to use his HP to cast his skills) 2: Clock of Destiny (for extra Magic Damage and Mana) 3: Thunder Belt (for extra Magic and Physical defense and the AOE true damage effect) 4: Dominance Ice (for extra Mana and Physical Defense) 5: Athena's Shield/Radiant Armor (for extra Magic Defense, but you can change between these two items depending on the enemies' line-up.) 6: Immortality (for Self-Resurrection and Extra Survivability)
I use hylos as a jungler and he is very good at it. His high hp and his dmg is very good. Once hylos gets the first turtle and first item, you can snowball and invade the enemy jungler. My build for hylos core is Boots Clock of destiny (for the passive) Thunderbelt (for hybrid stack and dmg) Cursed helmet Glowing wand Any defense item to counter the enemy. You can also swap out the other items just *ALWAYS* have thunderbelt and clock of destiny
Hylos is my main hero and the latest defense item update does make him even more powerful. Builds: 1st item: Thunderbelt 2nd item: Clock of destiny 3rd item: Glowing wand (if enemy line up have 2 tanky heroes.) or Dominance ice (if enemy have 2 attack speed heroes) 4th item: Athena shield or Twilight Armour (depends on burst type enemy hero has) 5th item: Radiant Armour (if the enemy has mage spams or 2 magic dealers) 6th: Depends on the overall needs of your team.
I've tried this build: Warrior/Tough boots Thunder Belt Antique Cuirass Radiant Armor Glowing Wand Immortality With Spells: Revitalize/Sprint/Vengeance Well, certainly not the most effective, but surprisingly works well. Although, I do not recommend, but you can still try.
Claude, Karrie and sometimes Melissa can melt Hylos. For mage lunox is not much of a problem when u built Anthena and radiant. I will probably be more afraid of Valir and Gord. For fighter, sun is a pain in the ass,X borg, alpha, Argus are worth mentioning but i dont find most of them problem since they r melee hero. So what if enemy has team composition like - Belerick / Baxia ( not much of a deal ) - Claude/ Karrie / Melissa - Sun, x borg - Lunox , Gord , Luo yi/Zhuxin ( they are annoying because of their cc ) - Alpha, Roger as hyper. This composition is not ur ideal OP team like u won't see this in high rank tho. I am just putting all counters for him in one squad. Roger and Claude might be the one only most likely to pick in higher rank. Most high rank avoid single target heroes and the above composition lacks early to mid dominant.
I've been using Hylos even prior to this patch and funny enough, whilst not necessarily bought in that order, Clock of Destiny, Dominance Ice and Thunder(lord's) Belt have always been a core build of mine. I've basically been playing the exact same way... just rushing Thunder(lord's) Belt immediately now instead anything else.
as a tank main with 3000 matches spread amongst all tank. i could comfortably say Hylos is in my top 3. Lolita's(4th) bonk is also good with thunderbelt. Minotaur (2nd) cuz of the sustain with flask. Khufra (1st) rn due to thunderbelt proc with his passive, the amount of meta heroes he can counter with his 2nd skill, and the insane plays he can conjure with hit 1st flicker ult.
Thou, at the early game, straight thunder belt? No build elegant first and then straight thunder belt? Or build cod first? But if cod first, lesser stack for thunder belt since build it late... Ps. No more use common emblem? Spell sure revitalize? Use sprint...
@@kavier2581 Just go straight TB whether you're roam or exp. It's worth it. The amount of stats you can get with Hylops is insane. I got upto 87 TB stats in a 27 min game before. And ohhh boy I'm not dying at all lol. Also use common emblem for Hylops. You have unlimted mana with him that way if you manage your mana well + with elegant gem (cod) passive in the future.
Buy early, any roal. I recommend you to buy thunderbelt just after boots. After that you'd could either go for dominance ice or cod. It will depend on the enemy and their build. If the enemy have bought regen item you can buy dominance ice to counter them immediately, if not then you can buy it after cod
I experience that kind of build for the 1st 4 items and the two slot depends on the enemy situations. Highest stock for thunderbelt is 44 tanky and sustain in team fight can survive
@@Ornyl no one build roger with trinity build anymore(at least from what i have seen). And hylos is litterly the Roger's counter(it also includes my experience). And I am saying about case if they are attacking him and you open vengeance so you can counter the back.
@@lattyarlinnko3342 i can just stop attacking you know? I have a dash skill, movement skill, a slow skill, and i can use my mm form to stay away. Vengeance last for 3 secs i think. And those that don't build trinity with roger are idiiiots, or those slap the pro player build people. Trinity makes roger scary as fk, as 3 or 4 mm bullets drops your hp below 50%.
Horse guy is literally a versatile hero rn. You can use the same key builds (TB, Dominance, COD) as either roam, exp and even jungle The type of boots to use and the last two items are situational depending on enemy lineup
For exp and jungle, why not replace COD with cursed helmet? Isn't that gonna help clear minion and creep better? Another thing, why would TB be used for jungler Hylos since it's stack are increase when attacking enemy heroes? It seems like it would accumulate less stacks for jungler hylos than exp or roam Hylos.
@@Gtykk hylos alr have fast wave clear, cod mana convert to hp is nearly as much as curse helmet, the extra dmg boost from CH, can be compensated by cod, cod have healing for laning phase, cod increase hybrid defence which boost thunderbelt dmg to be more op
I've used that same exact build like last week and it just took me exactly 25 games to get me to Mythical Glory after I've reached Mythical Honor... Not kidding... He's the perfect tank for solo queue rn... Good for ganking and front-lining..
Lunox is a great counter but Lesley is unnecessary. True dmg counters defense. Not the amount of health. And what Hylops has is ridiculous amount of hp. What you should be picking is heroes like Karrie, Roger who has hp based dmg.
@@Nobody-yt7yz replacing oracle with twilight armor will drop that number significantly , been farming wins with hylos lately and lesley is one the easiest first kill during team fights . trinity centered heroes are the best mm to go against experienced hylos in this meta .
Hylos can easily 1v5 even in a losing situation and that what makes him a meta pick. The only problem is karrie or any hero with dhs in general. They take his hp down way to fast.
theres more stuff he can counter i am a counter tank main (i dont main roam i main tank and pick tank base on what they counter on the enemy team) there are skills and passive that are attack speed based and heroes that gets fully countered by his attack speed slow aldous 1st skill punch is attack speed based he gets hard countered by hylos yins 1st skill both in ult and not are attack speed based before sky pierce he also gets hard walled by hylos also because his stun goes through yins cc immunity gatokacas passive slam is also attack speed tied so he also gets hard walled by him brody also gets hard walled by him since his ult poke and stun are attack speed tied
Hello idol What do we get if we have all saber squad skins As it says congratulations on obtaining all saber skins . Lets see weather you can find hidden chest … Its really bothering me as i just completed it and really wondering what is it ??? Any1 help me…
replace Ice Dominance with Glowing Wand since Ice's anti-heal now works only on enemies that deal damage to the wearer, and in clashes hitters will always avoid hitting the tanks first... Unlike Glowing wand that activates anti-heal when you deal damage, which works great with Hylos's 2nd skill plus ulti.
As a hylos main and top 24 in Malaysia currently, I can say that the only thing stopping hylos from getting auto banned in mythic glory and below is teammates
I use Hylos with Thunder Belt Clock of Destiny Dominance Ice Radiant Armor Immortality I am not sure it is good but it does let Hylos Apply a High Burst True Damage if he is hit by Magic Damage to build up Magic Defense to add to Thunder Belt's Passive
I use Ice Queen Wand and Weakness Finder on Hylos to ensure perma-slow. Once you proc Thunderbelt's passive opposing players will feel as if they have 300ms ping
Not just this, but Thunderbelt itself is highly abusable, albeit no more mana regen but the hybrid def stack means that the more you have stacks, the bigger the true damage it provides. It's like a watered down aldous... but I can only recommend this for heroes who depend on basic attacks.
Yep, this build works well with Hylos. Most of time i use this. But one thing to remember, you need good team and play fast. Except your MM is Layla/other good late MM with great mechanic then its fine for Late game. Then again, no matter how good youre as a tank, in this Assassin Meta, you cant carry the game in solo que.
Hylos is one of the best tanks (maybe the best) to counter lifesteal heroes like Yuzhong, Ruby and Terizla, with high mobility and continues magic damage with his 2nd skill he can handle Yuzhong and any other enemies solo, i tried him multiple times against a Ruby or Yuzhong and hes amazing on 1v1 against them
I've been playing hylos with that build even before the cod and thunderbelt revamp. I prefer him in exp lane since he can out sustain most of the tanky exp laners and i get to build items quicker
The best Thunderbelt user is Chip tbh. He can get multiple stacks at once and has to do basic atk with his skills. Kaja is also a good thunderbelt user.
When ever he's open i practically abuse his power. He's my go to tank 100% if he's not banned and he is very good at carrying the game becoz he can actually deal high amount of damage
Bros lemme tell you, as a soloq player using roam fully, hylos is easilt a pick for me. I got 85.9% wr and reached mythic so fast. personally, i use vengeance and support emblem with mov speed, tenacity and brave smite and he becomes so op that most of my game was easily one sided
i play hylos in exp but yeah it works i can even reach 45 stacks within 15 minutes because my first item will be the clock of destiny part then thunder belt all good after that
Im a hylos user.. i hate it when i face julian, zhask, zhuxin and yu zhong... And of course that damned sky piercer thingy.. cause i really like to tank until very low hp
Warrior boots/Tough boots Thunderbelt Clock of Destiny Raidiant Armor Dominance Ice/Glowing Wand Last item is situational Oracle with healer support Guardian Helmet for hp and regen against pokes Queens Wings for more hp and damage BladeArmor vs dhs marksman Immortality buy and sell s
