1. Thank God for saints of seasoned age
who bless us all our days,
companions on the road of faith,
in whom we know God's grace.
They bless us with a timely word,
and lift us when we fall.
Like God, they show us steadfast love,
the greatest gift of all.
2. Praise Christ for saints who serve the church,
who cook or build or sew,
whose welcome warms, whose gifts sustain
as decades come and go.
Praise Christ for whose from whom we learned
to trust, believe, and pray,
who later taught our children well
to follow Jesus' ways.
3. So bless the Spirit, who has poured
God's love in willing hearts
to sanctify our joys and tears
with hope that faith imparts.
Though senses fail or steps be slow,
their lives are signs of grace.
Then let us thank the Holy One
for saints who bless our days!
