This organ was built in 1960 for the Cathedral of St. John. The managers were not satisfied, so they sold the organ to the cathedral in Praga. In the year it was built, the organ had over 90 stops and a 5-manual playing table, which unfortunately has not survived. In the 1990s, it was rebuilt by Mr. Zych's company. The builder is Czesław Kruszewski. Regards. Very nice workmanship.

@@P1ro2f Anfänglich erstmal: Windlade schreibt man mit D. Zum zweiten: grätschen Sie bitte nicht allzu voreilig in Richtung ''Unsinn''. Und sofern Sie selbst Profi sind: erst recht nicht.

Absolutely wonderful; must order the score once it's available. Incidentally, if anyone is interested in the choral version, listen to it sung by the USSR Ministry of Culture Choir - available on RU-vid. A glorious sound.

What a majestic arrangement. It made me feel like we were in the heavens with the cherubim.

Wonderful…although I’ve listened to Tchaikovsky for a long time, I was unfamiliar with this choral piece until recently…thank you, Brothers Scott, for yet another beautiful performance of a great work.

Amazingly beautiful musically as well as photographically. So soothing, so meditative, and so inspiring. The opening picture of the church with the sunlight pouring through on the spires on the right side of the church is so much like a cherubim shining down from Heaven onto the church itself. Thank you Jonathan for the peacful, calming rendition of the hymn and thank you Tom for capturing the beauty of this cathedral in all of its glory.

Thank you! I think there are too many reeds in the beginning. The composition of the work begins with the descent of grace. During the service, this is a very quiet moment, detached from earthly things: “We, like the cherubim and the life-giving Trinity, chanting the Trisagion hymn, will now put aside all worldly concerns.”

Beautifully played as always - but not my cup of tea, unfortunately. I'm surprised as Tchaikovsky is usually very tuneful and melodic.

It’s a chorale work and is sung in a chant fashion by a large Orthodox choir with no instrumental backing. One of those things that imo does not really transpose well
