@@lexsavage3311 i do not think this video is toxic at all hes just massively skill gaping and it just happens to be with a bow and in one of the least toxic playstyles ive ever seen
@@TheKillerAxe Not trying to be. Its all in good fun. Right now Bows are extremely toxic due to the overpowering bungo has done to them. Its not Hynra's fault. And yeah, this new loadout he "says" he'll be doing IS toxic, regardless of anything you guys say. High Skill Bow gameplay isnt in of itself toxic, that's why Im subbed to him. He's a wonder to watch. My comment was a joke, based purely on how toxic bows are currently. Not everyone is a hater... Hater.
I mean... Bows needed the nerf. No precision weapon should be able to get it's optimal ttk without any headshots. No other weapon has that, and it makes no sense.
As much as i hate these nerfs to weapons like fl and bows, calling destiny a high apm high skill movement game is a joke, u press a button to grapple, then jump =/= skill and high apm. Even snap skating is like max 5 inputs in 2 seconds. This game has free movement, there isn't any inherent mechanical skill needed to execute any movement tech in the game in pvp. doing a long jump in cs requires more apm and that game doesn't even have high movement. Go play apex if u want high apm movement.
So would you say the same thing about void titan or striker? Because bungie designed those classes to be about OS and melee and yet they’ve been complained about and nerfed numerous times. Just because something is designed around a certain play style doesn’t mean it’s not overturned.
@@raritybelle6876it’s all at the beginning of the vid - TWID from 02/15/2024, reduced Bow DMG by 15%, aim assist and auto aim cone were reduced, player health increased to decrease cleanups with bows and the special ammo transmat was added in. pretty much killed the play style he had goin
No it is sad as a whole. People wanting the game to be less abilities and for limited special Go play halo.. literally the same game. Specials on a timer, very limited pick up abilities, and primary centric team play. Why force the game about being space gods into something not about that
I personally feel like checkmate feels like putting a Band-Aid over the problems we have in crucible. I don't feel like all abilities need to be nerfed. for example if someone throws a thermite grenade and hits me with it I don't have a issue with that, but if someone hits me with a one shot scatter I feel like that is the issue. When it comes to special ammo the issues people have is the inconsistences with them, like that with shotguns your melee can whiff or the shotgun will randomly not one shot. With snipers the scope doesn't line up with the flinch and the connections make it to were people can shoot though flinch. I feel that people enjoy checkmate because these things happen less often. But limiting special ammo weapons and abilities make the game feel less like "destiny". I think the proper approach will be to get dedicated servers (Wont happen) and to add constantias to flinch, shotguns, recoil, and all other aspects of the game that way when you do something you know what is going to happen. Checkmate is a lazy way to fix the problems we have in crucible. Also to be honest all the changes as of the past few years like the Nerfs to movement in the air and movement exotics, special ammo changes, tired suppers, and now a increased health pool makes it seam that Buggie is trying to slowly make the game feel like year one of D2 and the majority of payers hatted that. I hope that they can fix the consistencies and balance issues with abilities before they try a change like this
Even a minute in and this gives me the same feeling I got watching Baken montages back in Warmind before he was exposed as a cheater, I miss those old videos so thanks for the nostalgia
what sucks about the change is how theyre basically killing trace rifles, glaives, wave frame gls, forerunner and other special weapons that arent one hit kill edit: my fault og I didn't know you spawned with 2 kills worth of ammo You WILL see me shredding people with vexcaliber ☠️
Sadly, despite the nerfs, the most effective playstyle is still going to be holding hands with double wishender. And despite the fact that wishender and monarch get more usage than every other bow in the game combined, they still gonna gut everything, while not addressing the main issue people have with bows, which is camping and teamshotting across the map
@@gengarclefairy3475 & wishender wall hack turns off after 3 sec of drawing so oath keeper camping wont really be an option anymore. unless you zoom out and fully draw again ig, but even then it's the first step (of multiple neccesary) in the right direction
Yo I have a few questions you are fine with answering them? 1. What is the roll on your bow / glaive? Never been a fan of either in pvp but also never knew what roll you wanted so never gave it a go 2. do you have any ideas for a new build you might do now that bow is dead? 3. what is that song? its a banger lol
build in the description, I like my current build so if I plan to play destiny 2 pvp after march 5th it's probably not content worthy, music link at the end of the video.
It really is a shame Bungie is blanket nerfing all bows when the problem was really only 2 exotic bows. It's rare to see a bow user that's not running Lemon or WE. At the very least lightweight frames should not have been included in the same nerf as they only just got the opportunity to shine.
Not sure how you're going to try to emulate that tbh. Perhaps woven mail for 'tankiness' and Strand grapple stab for 'Jump'? The issue is the special ammo changes, unless you plan to go full melee?
idk wtf a dragoon is but my build since lightfall been cyrtarchne on threadrunner with some type of glaive the combined dr of wm and glaive shield is nice but with shield u r trading dr for bigger hitbox. glaives fit right into the threadrunner kit because they can cleanup grapple melee, spike and clone. if u want consistency use impulse amp otherwise each glaive has strong perks, keep in mind rpm and damage of different frames. tilting at windmills might be useful on jok because you can ranged into melee faster than 2 ranged. shit like that
@@Sunflamer strand dive could also be jump, but yeah the special ammo change might give me trouble A strat I could use may be to dive with woven and finish them off with Glaive melee, feeding into my class ability for more dives
I feel like you’re the type of player to find a way, to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I believe you’ll adapt to the changes, and make bows work in the upcoming month 🙏
bows were absolute cancer to play against so I'm glad to see them getting nerfed. they were extremely overpowered from the fact they dealt such high damage with so much aim assist it brought matches to a halt
I’ve been running a low accuracy lightweight with slickdraw for a while to prepare for any bow nerfs I am kinda happy for it though, but a lightweight will probably need two crits after the nerf
My only issue with bows was that precision frames were the only weapon in game that didn’t need at least a headshot to reach optimal ttk. Other than wish ender and le mon being too free in most pvp situations with free walls and no health regen from a body shot plus the double body was too much for a primary weapon.
I choose not to mourn the death of the speed bow play style, but to celebrate it's life. I've been making it for ages and it's brought me a ton of fun, but I'm ready for a big shakeup in the meta.
I love bows in pvp, it’s such a huge skill gap especially when playing aggressively like this, sad that bungie cannot agree with this play style, also they should add kill cams so people know how they die
Crazy that SMGs getting way too strong, the creation of Void Titan 3.0, and XIM/Cronus usage going unpunished has led to the entire sandbox going back to essentially D2 Y1. I played too much Y1 PvP (I won Redrix's Claymore) to know that this will ruin Crucible. Teamshotting will become the norm, and Scouts sitting in the back of the map will return in full-force.
You , Deadream and Steezle have been such a pleasure to watch and learn from . I’ll be done with D2 myself . Will not order TFS . This bullshit nerf is the last straw for me. Bungo will not touch another penny of mine
Can't wait to keep facing Overshield spam, SMG peacekeepers/cloudstrike Titans... now with less fun and less skill! also why nerf bows in general? i know precisions are opressive af, but bungo forgot lightweight bows exist at this point. they're gonna be unsusable again.
I get why they're making these changes, but it sucks that it's going to kill off one of the most fun and unique playstyles in the entire game. I was finallly starting to get good with this build myself and now it's going to cease to exist. There was a chance that the glaive damage buff might have countered the bow nerf and you still could have pulled off the combo, but the fact that you have to build up special meter now is going to gut that anyways. I don't think you'll even be able combo with the rope dart anymore off a headshot. It feels like every good combo is being gutted right now. I'm curious if you have any ideas now about what a new version of this build might be. It would have to be a primary weapon, right? I assume a 120 HC isn't going to be enough after the nerf, even with a headshot. Considering the fact that you're going to need multiple shots no matter what your cleanup weapon is, I'm leaning towards a sidearm myself. Same build, just now with a high handling sidearm to pair with the bow. Limits your range even more than the glaive, but might be the only viable option for cleanup.
Bungie didn't have to hit bows that hard. It almost seems like someone at Bungie has a personal vendetta against bows. I can understand a couple slight nerfs for the sake of adjusting to the new changes, but bows got nerfed into the ground and then they spit their grave. Not only did they reduce all bow damage by 15%, but they also didn't recieve an increase to precision damage. They say they want to reward players for aiming for the head. How is that rewarding!? Bows are the slowest firing primaries in the game, you would think it would be more rewarding to hit a headshot. Bows won't even be able to 1 shot with Golden Tricorn ×2. A 50% damage buff won't be enough to 1 shot. Bows aren't even the meta. Seems like someone at Bungie had a bad game against a bow user and decided to abuse their power to turn bows into a weak scout rifle.
This update is literally tragic, my favorite build that I handcrafted before it was all meta was strand hunter with threaded specter, raconteur, and fighting lion. It sounds like the most cancer build to play against, but I was super proud of making it and especially mastering it, I utilized fighting lion to hit around corners and an understanding that almost everything in my kit did half of the enemies health to absolutely abuse anyone. I understand threaded specter nerfs and maybe bow nerfs but it seems like WE and lemon are the only bows getting used so why not just nerf those? Idk I’m just sad my favorite build can’t be used without being an absolute god gamer like hynra himself.
RIP homie. I tried for the life of me to fly around the map with Grapple. Can't do it. Best I can do is hold forward with Oathkeeper and the aggressive bow user I've been the last two years.
mr hynra i have been using glaives with threadrunner since it dropped there is still a lot of utility and synergy with grapple melee and glaive melee these changes r for the better peace
I loved this build. An avid bow hater btw but it was so fun.. it hurts to see these PvP changes ngl not too sure what to use or even if its worth trying anymore
Truly the greatest destiny pvper of all time. Your videos resolution quality was as awful as the gameplay was good. It hurt my eyes and I couldn’t wait for more
I was literally wanting to start using bows and learn strand hunter in pvp but then we got the pot stirred and that means no more fun for a little while :( At the very least I'll try out slug shotguns and enjoy having double the range of pellet users.
They really shouldn’t made checkmate just for comp, maybe trials. It fits those modes and just plays really well there. But in 6v6 it just feels bad most of the time. It doesn’t need to be all tactical in qp, now there is nowhere to play stupid builds for fun that rely on special weapons, and are weaker with less abilities. RIP speed running out of spawn to wipe the team (outside of ignitions, but that takes all 3 abilities on dawn blade)
