I just did this and took less then an hour :) fantastic little mod :) and sounds very nice, not over powering. Thanks for the VIdeo

Does this affect the fuel mixture, does it lean it out or remove back pressure?
@needparalegal
@needparalegal 2 года назад
Probably not going to matter when you cut the muffler so far from the header. Not significantly changing back pressure.

Really good sound. I know you did that on an efi model. Can I do that on a carb model? Thanks

i got a 2014 of these they are okay to have for a while but if you dont custom ur exhaust than dont bother trying anything else. cutting all that made no difference rather keep it and just custom another exhaust. thats what i did for mine and it sounds like a custom harley.
@andrewmorris2240
@andrewmorris2240 8 лет назад
I have a custom turna exhaust nowdays which is much louder/deeper than the stock exhaust but this was still a good little mod to do if you don't want to spend any money.
@joeyousif88

+Andrew Morris its just the fact incase you get done by the law its rather safer to keep ur original exhaust and custom one for urself once u cut the orginal than u gotta go buy a new one which may cost a fortune...

+Andrew Morris never the less it is a good idea though what you done...

Hey Andrew, saw that you had put in a set of Turna exhausts in one of your videos. I am assuming that was after this modification. Any particular reason you went for that? As in, did this modification hurt the bike prompting you to go in for a completely new muffler? Or was it just an aesthetic/functional choice?
@andrewmorris2240
@andrewmorris2240 8 лет назад
if I had the money at the time I would've bought the turnas straight away. The main reason I wanted the turna exhaust was for the looks.

Whould you recommend buying this bike I'm looking into a second hand one and I'm a bit scared because of what a lot people bad talk about this but also a lot of people say they are good. What DoD you think
@andrewmorris2240

Hi Ross, sorry for late reply. When the bike was running well it was a great bike to ride but I had a lot of problems with it and was replacing parts frequently on it. I enjoyed working on it and appreciate how much learnt about motorcycles through it but I wouldn't recommend one as it was really unreliable. (and now since they don't build them anymore parts will be scarce to find)

do you still have this bike ? And is it good enough to own it ? how it is compared to harley superlow ?
@xCRO3x
@xCRO3x 8 лет назад
Save your money for a better built bike. This bike is heads and tails faster than the superlow but you will have problems with it. If this style bike is your thing look at the vulcan instead.

Yes I have owned this bike since 2012 since new and put in over 40,000kms on it. I mainly use it for commuting to and from work all seasons of the year. Had a few issues with the bike which I've posted in my videos here however nothing for a while now. There are not many aftermarket parts for the bike but most of the stock parts are pretty cheap which is nice. I plan on keeping my bike at least a year or two longer then I might get something different.

Based on what theory? I don't ask what change ofter this mod, i just ask why you have to regulate your valves every month. 🤔🤔

Or u can get a real bike
@davidedwards3361
@davidedwards3361 5 лет назад
Yes, you could buy the Harley Davidson V-Rod, the bike the GV650 is modeled on. Because, like the DICK that wrote this post, you can afford to pay 4 X the price. Or you may not be a POSER, and just consider a bike to be a mode of transport. A friend of mine just bought a 'small' Harley, and it cost about $30,000.00. The rear tire alone is $450.00, and his insurance is a terrible price. A few years worth of insurance on a 'real' bike, and you would own the Hyosung Ah yes. The joys of owning a 'real' bike. But you choose. Posing for your friends, or being better than them...because you actually OWN your bike, and not a finance company.

Would you buy a Hyosung if it was $2300? for a 650cc
