The only reason I have rum raisin in my collection is because I used to work at a nursing care center where a resident I used to take care of would wear that lipstick everyday. She was wearing that lipstick for many many years and it was old and crusty. So I bought a new one for her and bought one for myself to keep it as a memory of her. I am so glad I did because every time I hear of that lipstick I get reminded of the fond memories I have of her. May you rest in peace my dear, Betty.
The problem with tiktok is that almost every "review" are really ads. Most Tiktokers want their videos to get bought. Thats why EVERYTHING is amazing to them.
It is so refreshing to watch a video that ACTUALLY jumps straight in, it always frustrates me when creators say they’re going to get right into things but then have a agonisingly long intro?? You didn’t even have to say it, you just did it, such a breath of fresh air. Much appreciated 💕💕
@Milabu I often wonder how much work the brushes/applicators do with makeup. It would be cool if you did like a 2 part series; one part applying bad makeup/makeup you hate with your favourite/best applicators and brushes - maybe the more expensive or splurge-worthy ones. Then the second one could be where you use your favourite products with awful brushes and applicators that you hate. It would be fascinating to see whether the application methods make a difference to the look either in the beginning and/or whether it affects the way the makeup wears throughout the day. 😊
Well said!!! I would even pay for this! I have at least 50 brushes and hi/low end makeup and still can't get the looks I see. I need this help in a bad way.
I love the maybelline concealer, but even more love the companion foundation. Those who don’t like the sponge can remove it, but it gives a beautiful lightweight skin finish with light to medium buildable coverage.
best review I’ve seen and 10x better than TikTok, I LOVE that you jump right into the video, no introduction, no sponsor, no videos of you at the store, AND you do end of day on how these drugstore products held up which is the main point imo cause any product looks good on the initial application, thank you!!!!
I love the pink under eye brightener. My skin is light but I have blue/yellow discoloration under my eyes. Im in my 40s and as long as I moisturize it’s gorgeous!! Please test the SheGlam blushes!
If that pink concealer is too drying for you you should try the Becca under eye brightening corrector or the TartE CC under eye corrector they’re both similar pink shade and not drying at all
Girl your skin is so perfect! You look like your seventeen! A little jelly over here... only because I have vintage skin now at 49 yrs old. I'm still kicking it though. Love you! Keep up the good work. 😊❤
I bought the Age Rewind, and it didn't work for me. The product was too sheer, made my skin really crepe-y looking and also wiped right off. It could be me - I don't have a solid skin care routine and I have mature skin (39) - but couldn't get it to work :|
THANK YOU for giving an actual review where you check-in throughout the day! This is my first time to see you, and I happily subbed! Do you ever go back to see if the foundation would work better with a primer or a setting powder? I’ve been doing that a lot, and I think I’m wasting money on primers to make the foundations work, only to find that they still don’t work!! Xoxo ❤😂❤
I’m curious what you do with your make up and make up products hair stuff etc. after you’re done with it? I would love to check out your trashcan if you throw it out oh well I don’t believe make up really expires. I mean after years, but not after one year.
Depends on the makeup. Powder products for sure do not truly expire. Cream and liquid formulations with proper preservatives expire but only after many years, as you said. Expiration dates are usually mostly there to reduce liability. Anything labeled “clean”, “natural”, “organic”, etc I wouldn’t trust past a month, honestly. Definitely not past the expiration date. Like there’s a chance they’ll be fine but 50% of the ones I’ve had have gone off within a month. Shit is the makeup equivalent of unpasteurized milk.
@@pellaw8011 thanks. I guess I’ve been lucky. My mom kept her make up forever and then I used it forever. I’ve had to make up for for five years that’s just fine. Especially eyeshadow, blush.
I didn’t like the finish of the Nyx foundation it reminds me of the maybelline mouse foundation. Similar texture and can become patchy when putting on other cream products.
I pull the sponge off the maybelline concealers. It soaks up so much product and it seems kinda gross to have product just sit on there. You can still twist up product and put it in the back of your hand.
So i have used the sheglam contour and it doesn’t last. Its not the NYX foundation it just doesn’t last unfortunately. Also I thought u said at one time that elf mascara flakes? Am i wrong?
I had that problem with the viral Tarte juicy plump things I thought I was missing out on something amazing everyone is raving about them so I was at Sephora returning something that gave me an allergic reaction so I picked 1 up not thinking they are gonna be half of at ulta and have been trying it and it drys my lips out and looks weird with a lipliner I can only ware it alone but it still drys my lips . Goes to show not everything works for everyone.
I was leaning toward the soft tan and the tawny amber colors. Keep us posted on the contour because most people have had trouble with that Nyx foundation.
I've never been a fan of any of those brands 😅 even as a broke teenager in high school! I would always rather not use anything than using NYX or Maybelline 😂 I remember saving every lunch penny to buy MAC at 16 😅 the few times I did use those drugstore brands, my skin broke down in acne, it looked cakey, dry, flake and just all kinds of horrible 🥲 what ashamed thst even after all this years their products are still not improving 😬 the market is so competitive! And I hear all the complaints from years ago 🤯😬
