«"Hyper-ballad" de Björk es una canción sobre una persona que se enfrenta a su propia mortalidad. El cantante está realizando un ritual en la cima de una montaña, arrojando objetos por un acantilado cada mañana. A través de este acto, consideran cómo se sentiría la muerte y aceptan sus propios temores sobre la mortalidad. El coro habla de cómo la cantante quiere sentirse más feliz y segura al día siguiente al pasar por este ritual. Al final, la canción trata de hacer las paces con la muerte aceptando la idea de ser mortal.»
