Thank you for your video. I had a similar idea with similar panels. But was just going to use crushed quartz rock. Is this recycled glass more affordable and as equally healthy for the environment ? TIA
But, it is a carport, the ground will be covered, unless this is used at home and the car is driven to work during the day? Also, that glass will be tracked away in no time, look at the cars tires already. Best just to use while stone or rock, or just put up 10% more panels if the area underneath will have cars parked during the day.
This is a pretty good Setup. Sadly those Solar Panels that you are actually allowed to use as a "roof" need to be special, extremely expensive and less efficient ones, at least here in Germany. You aren't allowed to use just any Bifacial Glass-Glass Panels. As to that "glass Pearl" flooring...I think that's some serious over-engineering. Just use some light grey stones or concrete and you are most of the way there. Having a hyper reflective floor will likely not be ideal for the people actually using the Carport and the actual gains will also be moderate, since you will often have a car parked in there anyway
@@jpl9148 Which ones do you refer to? If they are 530W then they are likely more than 2m2 and thus currently not allowed for any sort of rooftop mounting in Germany anyway, although that law is currently being changed.
