Tool-Assisted Speed run by GaRan (me) A hack by RealRed More info go to metroidconstruction.com Thank you for watching! And please support me in my further TASes :)
Everytime I see one of your TAS videos, my mind is like "what just happened?" 99% of the time... The other 1% is just my brain's idle process. Great work.
We missed maridia and the wrecked ship in the escape. I was surprised considering the maridia/norfair border. I would have loved a segment where the gravity suit is disabled; more of the tension that was delivered in the norfair part with the block shredding thing. That's my only regret about this masterpiece of a hack.
*:-) ..i got 2 Cartridges of Each .. coz i wanted 6 Saves on both **_... only 3 Saves on 1 Cart wernt Enuff ..._** SUPER & HYPER are my hobby lol -basicLy .. i doubled my Saves on both , coz theyz Jus So Great !* _:-D_
A good Super Metroid hack always must have (in my opinion): 1 - the possibility to re-visit Space Station (assuming that it is not exploded, of course); 2 - the combination Spazer and Plasma; 3 - great exploration factor.
Beautiful dude, just beautiful. I chortled when you moonwalked in Phantoon's room lmao. TAS wishlist: Z-Factor, Lost World, Hydellius, Redesign Axeil, Reimagined Will you be putting all the TASes that Hoandizi made up on your channel? I'm still missing his channel greatly. 720p60 though, so smoooth. ^_^
This was insanity. And even with a TAS the final sequence still took over 3 minutes... that's a long way to run, dodging enemies, navigating obstacles, avoiding lava/acid, etc. I'm curious to see this RTA, but there's no way I could muster up the attention span to watch a full playthrough of this game.
@@sammyflowproductions933 okay, so can you help me understand? Tool assisted sounds so general. I thought it meant that you've hacked the game and you're using techniques that are technically cheating, making it a separate category. It's actually a computer that has been programmed to precisely play the game to perfection?
@@anthonybernero9720 There is no bot involved. GaRan was technically the person playing the game, but one frame at a time to make sure everything is as perfect as possible. It's very precise, but it's still a human behind everything.
This just raises a question... if game characters are sentient in the wreck it ralph universe how do they react/respond to speedrunners playing their games?
@@JM-wl2hm Iframes could be an interesting thing to reference in wreck it ralph especially since the closest reference i recall was penelopes "glitching" in the first movie due to code error stuff lol
It's a mechanic that you only get on hacks such as this one, you just crouch and then jump which will make you do a back flip to the opposite side. I could never use it like he did in this TAS though, never knew it could break some block and do it in mid air.
@@TailsClock The word "Who's", though usually broken down as "Who is", I believe could also mean "who has". The word "has" ends with an S, similar to the word "is". I believe that you can combine the word "Who" and "has" and turn it into "Who's" as seen in the video. If this is true, then what is written on the escape sequence would make grammatical sense. (Not to be confused with the whole word "Whose", which indicates someone's belonging)
If you use the X-Ray climb glitch, you can go outside of the the game's camera and the map. Thus, the game doesn't know what to do with itself, but you can still navigate around the map (though you have to do so blind). This can be useful for certain sequence breaks, like getting the Plasma Beam early
