Hyperkin SupaRetroN HD System Review - HD SNES - Gamester81 

It has 3 frames of lag and has weird motion blurring problems too. I'd rather just roll with an OG SNES(1-CHIP), Retrovision component cables and pairing it with a 27" or 32" Wega Trinitron CRT. OR, get a Retrotink4K and use component cables and hook it up to something like a 55" QD-OLED(S90C samsung) Unfortunately, Analogue's Super Nt is going for nearly $1300 CAD off Ebay. Not the most affordable option as great as it is.

I think the tearing might be the fault of his capture card, since I've seen other reviews that don't have footage with this much tearing; though the lag with the car is most likely a fault of the system.

Christopher Galloway LMAO! You better be at that price. If you have the NT than any other HD hardware solution is going to be extremely pale in comparison. This is for guys and gals with much lower budget. Only thing that compares to NT is a Framemister or OSSC set up.

Christopher Galloway I'm super happy with my Analogue Super NT too but that $39.71 shipping was killer. That should have been $10 maxed. My Murano oem running board shipping was only $53 and it was FedEx 2 day air and was well over 100 pounds. This thing weighed maybe 2 pounds and it took a week to get to me.

You know that's interesting. I didn't notice the graphical issues until you pointed it out. I think it might have been the what it was captured. When I played it on my TV, I haven't noticed those glitches.

@@Gamester81 I'm guessing you used your SD2SNES to play those games on the Supa Retron, right? When I tried my FXPAK PRO on mine I got similar little visual glitches. Normal cartridges and multicarts etc. work fine for me, just the FXPAK has the issue. Interestingly, it works fine on Hyperkin's Retron 2 HD and Retron 3 HD. I had a chance to try it on a newer revision of the Supa Retron and it was actually worse. On a hunch I tried the new power adapter on my older system and it was worse then too, so I'm guessing it's a power issue. I have no idea if it can be remedied. I am curious if the earlier/lesser Super Everdrives might work okay on the Supa Retron.

johneygd Picture quality wise it's a huge difference. Sound as well. Want the best it will cost. If one needs a smaller budget HD clone console, this one and other two will do. Yes this plays FX games and Mario RPG.

It plays all FX chips star fox mario rpg yoshies island and it plays the super gamboy and Japan pal and northern American and I ha e a copy and own all of those items along with this sytem have had one single issue with you had it over a year now plays on my fifty inch flat screen and again no issues bery happy with it and glad I didn’t dump all that money into a super NT if it wasn’t absolutely needed... thanks again

Super NT is way better than this.

Super NT is supposedly the best one, but it is a bit pricey or compared to this. Consider your budget.

There are comparisons of the cheaper clone consoles and this one fared really well against the competition in picture quality. The Super Nintendo HD clones I believe range from $50 to $80. If you want to get the top of the line model like some of these guys are already mentioning, the super NT will cost you a little over $200. Of course it's not really a clone as it is a newer version of the Super Nintendo Hardware and you get the absolute best 1080p picture that you're going to find anywhere at the convenience of just putting games in and playing without any extra Hardware. So your budget is going to dictate exactly what you're going to be able to get your hands on.

Yeah the Super NT is a good system, but much more expensive.
