i have this light and freaking love it for the price i got mine on sale for 99 bucks and got 2 of them and grew the best "tomatoes" ever and i have lots of other lights just bought this to try out and now its my main light
The app and conecting to wifi is a mess. First problem is if the power went out then back on the light turns on even when they're scheduled to be off. Not good for flowering plants. Sometimes the light won't turn off as scheduled. Not good. Last 2 days it wasn't turning off so I went to the app and after an hour and probably 15 attempts to resync I gave up. Ill try again tomorrow morning but I'm not expecting much. I even downloaded the app to another phone and nothing. the pairing keeps timing out. Very frustrating. Wish I could use it with an old fashion external timer. the wifi and app are a major drawback.

@@maxwellhowell if you don't have a fan blowing on them all of these lights get hot. The leds are in house designs and they know the limits. These are spectacular value.
So my guess is the app went belly up and doesn't work anymore cause they have been selling these lights for 50 bucks I have had two for a couple years and they are great I've bought 3 more since they cut the price down and also I had 2 50% off coupons and one 40% off so I got 3 of them for 90$ they originally wanted 109.
I'm having major problems with the app. The thing won't turn off at the scheduled time. It's extremely frustrating. I've had it for 5 months, its had long periods when it works fine but it can't be trusted. the past 2 days have been a mess. I can't even pair the thing now. I also got mine at a huge discount about $25. not bad but it should at least work.
Based on the par map, there seems to be an obvious design flaw. If I wanted to add additional panels, I wouldn't want them connected, as my light spread would improve with them spaced slightly apart. 3D print some spacers I guess??? 🤷♂️🤷♂️
good question. you can use the connection power cord but dont use the quick lock bolts to reach bigger coverage if needed. daisy chain together to get intensity lighting . without daisy chain, you can definitly get bigger coverage
The timer function is built into the light I believe. The light does require an internet connection to set up the app which was annoying. But it defaults to max brightness so you could just use a mechanical timer.
@@Hoocho the light will remain the setting for swith on/ off for once, however the timer right now is setted according to the internet time, so it has to be connected , but we are still updating and hopfully to make a external timer soon . a manual knob edition is testing right now. @@growwithgroplanner1891 My light won't turn off at the scheduled time anymore. so last night my plants got and extra 3 hours. I tried to trouble shoot today but can't even get the app to pair with the light anymore. I even tried putting the app on a different phone. no go. very frustrating.
