Emanuele Dascanio was an Italian artist of only 30 years old but who has exhibited with artists of international fame and his works are present in various collections around the world, including Italy, Dublin, Brussels, Singapore, Monte Carlo.

kneaded erasers, probably some compressed charcoal , graphite pencils ranging from 9b-9h, but from the looks of the video he used mainly charcoal pencils. I'm not sure if he used white charcoal but if you want to start doing hyper realism white and black charcoal on toned paper works great. It also seems that he used a high resolution photograph to copy from (which makes a huge difference on how detailed his work is) and some skill.

Saying that this "is not creative" is an extremely stupid and shallow statement. Saying that drawing with photographic references limits creativity couldn't be more far from true. Try it yourself, you'll see that you can, if you're skilled or educated enough, distort it or make something new with it.

What pencil do you use for those deep dark blacks?? And how do you get your pencil sharpened to the 'point' where it looks like it can take an eyeball out lol??
