First time watching your content! Awesome stuff, you got a sub! I LOVE how you play Cleric, never picked up the class because of the Slow Speeds and an almost Janky Melee/Caster. But, this build makes a lot of sense, might try it.
Man, that darkest dungeon quote was amazing. If you had it spoken it would be even better. Great fights. As a wizard i will watch for these fast clerics now
Perfect timing on YT recommending this video; I just unlocked all of the Murder quests last night (Kill 5 of Class X and Y, Kill X players on this map or that, etc). I might try to squeeze Brewmaster into the build too. 14+ STR on top of Divine Strike will probably be huge for bonking.
I love this game so much, it’s so difficult and I barely escape any dungeon, but it’s still so fun, I will become the most evil warlock the game has seen
Do you think that you could make an updated cleric guide sometime soon? I have been maining cleric in trios and I have been wondering which armor I should use if I should use 10 spell or not. Anyways, thank you for the great cleric videos 👍
Honestly I've been running this build in trios for the entire patch so far, with great success. But I understand you are probably looking for a support build. 10 spell is great. I'll probably make an updated Cleric Guide (again) maybe after Patch 4. If I tire of this build and find a good 10 spell build though, then I'll make a video on it this patch.
Not really worth it with the bless and holy strike nerfs. Usually area denial via earthquake and locust swarm are also not worth it since you can't heal others while channeling it on a door way or something (not to mention you get ambushed like half the time anyways). And bind requires high spell casting speed scaling to be worth. Can be nice to chase down rogues in trios and such but typically in actual 3v3s it's better to either precast heals to prevent 2 taps or engage/zone melee with divine protection. Currently you can run all the heals, divine strike, and res on just 5 spell with divine protection or judgement. They kind of gutted the other 5 spells on cleric to a mostly unusable state so.. 😂
I don't like it and I hope the devs don't copy Tarkov too much. (Tarkov added something like this) Footstep sounds are important information that allow counterplay. @@Btk780
Good players will try, which is why I try to be as close as possible before I pop it. That way there is no space to run, and blocking or fighting is their only option. Good PDR fighters with Heater are sometimes a challenge.
@@NotLikeThisJoeThe actions I described are just how you trigger it continuously in general but yeah you could do those actions quickly after or mid swing as well. You can basically just hold those buttons down and spam it nonstop to keep doing it,.
Thank you for this video!! Im a new player with no direction other than youtube 😂 i chose cleric as my first class (probably a mistake) and i must say this game is difficult when it comes to pvp. 4 days in, not 1 kill on my belt 🤣
I've been using +2 wpn dmg lanterns in the recent videos (when I can afford the gear score), but yesterday it was nerfed to +1. Maybe it's time to try buckler again? I'm not sure
Greqta video. I wish they would give us a way to distinguish gear rarity in the dungeon in person. diffrence between a green and legendary adventure tunic is huge
Maybe some trim! Or even if the clothes are ragged and torn, and then have more contrast/less faded colors / no tears on the hunter rarities would be neat :) kinda like how some weapons look different in the inventory depending on rarity :) (namely the orange bladed longsword for purple)
20:40 they should make those wall lamps moveable. It makes no sense they block your way since realistically they would just move if you bump into it. I've died so many times because they blocked my way its ridiculous.
Any class can achieve this with current patch's scaling. Just need the right build. I do wish gear was scaled back down to earlier patches. I enjoy high ttk for more counterplay.
thanks for the guides, can you do a video on the budgetest of budget builds? or the best squire default build setups for the low-playtime scrubs like me?
For now you could search by slot (for example, "feet") and filter by uncommon. That should be pretty budget. For default squire with no progression, I'd go heavy boots, frock, cloth pants, spellbook, flanged mace, prot pot, hp pot, bandage, torches, and maybe buckler if you like it.
The main problem with having buff duration with high-end gear is you benefit so much from stacking knowledge/spell casting speed and will/healing. Then anything else that gives you damage and you basically have no room for bdur.
Hi, is one great video :) i like see you use the war hammer, not lot of people like play with. Wath you think about the new patch and the nerf of the cleric ?
I main this build in solos/duos you not using holystrike is an insult to god - it lets you 1v1 wiz /warlock (hard counters locks as their mr perk dosnt apply to holly damage and when in phantomise take 150% aoe magic damage) also with that ms you get 2 stokes off before mele fight for free = 40-60 ranger damage. You can litterly trade holy strikes for others damage - out heal them and just push mele with casted shields. Also a heater sheild helps with handaling counters warlock/wiz/ranger and gives you a chunk or armour with a good roll
Sucks that due to recent changes in the game, a buff cleric is taking people by surprise and shitting on them. I am so happy I am taking a LONG break from this game, maybe until its back on steam. what an entertaining shit show to watch tho haha
I ran this build at the end of last season and it worked well. I've been literally 1 shot 0-100 this patch by a slayer fighter, and I don't think this build is anywhere near the strongest you can achieve in DaD compared to other classes.
makes sense, I personally never engage a cleric with buffs. I wait it out and range as much as I can. The best cleric build now is holy strike with judgment movement speed magic damage. you 2-3 shot most people. Id recommend that if you havn't tried it@@NotLikeThisJoe
Yes, the economy goes up and down over the course of a wipe. Also +all doesn't exist anymore. Use any off meta gear because you can finder better rolls at cheaper prices
@@NotLikeThisJoe i see thats the resson u dont get a single crosbow and the people give the backs or use a range weapon in mele.... come to europe west , we apreciate u free gear
@@NotLikeThisJoe true as a ranger i have ben dying to this even when i hit the cleric like 10 times with epic longbow and 2 hits of spear so i think its broken its fighter with heals at a down side that you dont have the 70% PDR all the time but i tried it and at least its fun when you play it xd
@@tomj0771 With this build, 3 body shots or just 1 headshot and 1 body shot will kill me if the ranger has "mid" gear. That's why dodging and getting a good engagement without taking ranged damage early is so important.
@@NotLikeThisJoe 1st, when you die it shows wanderer 1 rank show up........ok 2nd, as a top 100 solo warlock last season also with countless hours on all other classes expect bard it would be silly to assume anyone under the top 100 solo leaderboards is any good at pvp because to get there its about farming pve, pvp is a side quest. 3rd, no need to be offended by my comment i dumbed it down in the nicest possible way that its ''not bad'' and the fact remains that anyone at high rank with half a brain just has to avoid you for 4 seconds while divine protection is up and then the cleric turns into a weaker caster than any other caster and a weaker melee'er than any other melee'er making you a complete fish out of water. just like you avoided the barbs in your video the second they shouted, which lasts for what 6 seconds? and you managed to do it while being the slowest class lol. and lastly., the overall best solo cleric build i found working (at semi high rank) was a combination of melee caster with +add magic/true magic dmg and judgement skill for high burst to surprise other classes while pretending to only be a fat slow melee cleric. youre still a worse fighter and a worse wizzard but its more of a surprise than your amazing 4 second buff with a loud sound cue. but okay man.
