Many thanks for this. Would be worth mentioning the causes of hypertension. 90% is of course essential hypertension, but in 10% there is a cause that is identifiable, such as renal (renal artery stenosis, polycystic kidneys), endocrine (Cushing's syndrome, Conn's syndrome, phaeochromocytoma) or eclampsia/pre eclampsia in pregnancy. Also; coarctation of the aorta.
