Good day Teacher. Don't you think that the hypertext in the CG pertains to the hypertext in semiotics? And not the hypertext in digital technology? I just realized this just a few days ago since the module actually used an example about hypertext in semiotics, which I think makes sense because it's partnered with intertext which is about the interconnection between works. What do you think?
it is interconnected. the semiotics in hypertext yes.. but in my understanding, since it is the basic of reading, I have focused on how linear and nonlinear have evolved as part of digital technology.The CG does not also indicate if it is more of semiotics. On my end, my "semiotics" is centered on intertext and my hypertext is on the digital tech. But u have a point there and we can explain it as point of emphasis. That's one thing Ive been considering though. great to share.thanks
The cg says the learner must identify the context in which the text was developed: hypertext and intertext. That means they just need to know the interrelated conditions that surround the text. Either it comes from an earlier work, or being influenced by another work. Hypertext in computer display doesn't fit in.
@Jerome Damicog : English explained in Filipino i.dont tnink it doesnt fit in. It is still part of reading lesson. Whatever technical thing you mean, in a nutshelll,hypertext and intertext are still part of reading ( how you link text with another) If you think you are right , then go for it.
