May 7 2017 I love making Portland Cement Projects. Today I Am Making Garden Art And A Fairy Door Love Making all kinds of projects. Getting out in the yard and doing all kinds of Things I live in Ga. I love My Birds Blue All Kinds I Feed Them I Love my Rock Garden. I Love A Sunshine Day.This Is My Peaceful Place I Spend So Many Wonderful Hours Here.

Helen, the next one you do or something similar - use your cooking spray on top of the plastic and use a rubber mallet to tap lightly around the object. A cute little sitting fairy would look so cute in that spot to the left of the door.

I started little vignettes, gnomes, porcupines, frogs, mushroom and move them every holiday. The game for smaller children is to find where things have moved and tell the adults a story about what they have found. We hear some fabulous tales!

I love to watch you create your projects! I live in NYC and the only birds I hear are pigeons! :( I just miss the song birds. Helen you are wonderful.. after watching you I did get up and tried the hypertufa art...I wish I knew how to make the videos .. beautiful work you live in a lovely place... Helen I made a few pots for plants and accidentally put 2 plastic bags on the mold and it was much easier to get out and then to remove the plastic from the art piece

I think what you do is brilliant and I feel that you would be a blessing going around nursing home or setting up your own workshop to teach others like yourself and show them also that age isn,t or should not be a barrier to trying something new and they to would feel the way you portray to all that watch you. You have given me and my children very good ideas for our own backyard and I only hope ours come out as good as yours. Thank you for all that you do and God bless.

Hello fancifuldevices i am with you i am 79 years and never heard of hypertufa . last year in Aug. i saw it on you tube and i tried it. it's not as heavy as just cement. I like it for some things . Thank you for kind comment. God's Blessing to you From Ga.

Paula Bush , I'm a new subscriber, so I've been watching a lot of Miss Helen's videos the past month or so . I love her videos !! I have a gourd too that I've had for sometime now . I had forgotten that I had it and I found it just the other day . I ask my husband if he would cut a hole in it for the birds. I want it to be a birdhouse for them to nest is . I heard that the hole has to be cut out a certain size before certain birds will nest in them , so I hope he cuts it out perfectly for the little birds . It has some seeds in it too . I'm gonna plant the seeds that's in it . I hope the seeds are still good enough to grow some more gourds . ❤😉

Helen, i wonder if you could spray cooking oil on the plastic before you put the cement if that wouldn't help with things sticking? Or baby oil or mineral oil maybe?

Helen, I am 73 years old and a widow. What size of Portland Cement do you buy that is not too heavy to lift? I live alone and have to do for myself. Like you, if I don't do it it doesn't get done. I also have chronic back pain daily which is unbearable at times. I was just wondering about the weight of the Portland Cement (and sand) that you purchase. I watch you all of the time and think that I can make some pots like yours to go on my outside patio. With the Lord's help I know that I can. Have a blessed day, Phyllis
