Had frequent urination for years now and VA doctor always says its a prostate issue , I don't think so . Ive been juicing carrots every day now for awhile , bananas , avocado, potatoes, and taking a potassium citrate suppliment .
Randomly came across your videos. They are very informative. I really like the diagrams and illustrations. Keep up the good work. I will continue to watch more!
I had heart palps that they called long QT. I was told I was fine and let go. When I got.my blood test results it was 3.5 with hemolysis. Other people said that meant my result was lower than 3.5. But I was given no recommendation. Last time I was in er it was 3.3 and nobody said a thing either. 😡😡😡😡
I found this video from research because recently I've been having hot flashes, trouble eating or sleeping, and having constipation. My potassium levels were a 2.5 the doctor said I should be fine if I eat high potassium foods. And I also have low magnesium. Any suggestions on how to not overthink or stress to much? My body just doesn't feel normal and I've been scared
I'm just young 26 years old injoying life , work. Just suddenly can't get up compete all lower limb paralys. When administered in ICU POATSIUM LEVEL down below 2.5 No symptoms or any sign of health issue prior. Still slight mussle cramp today can't run or do any hard work.
Very informative. But the WHO now recommends a daily potassium intake of 4.7grams. Only 2 percent of Americans and Australians get this much. It follows to my mind that inadequate intake must be very common indeed. I suspect that since 98 percent of potassium is inside the cells, this inadeqacy often does not show in the blood. Also don't forget the common potato. It is a very rich source. But still a very good video
My potassium was 6.2. Renal care nurse did a potassium shift. My sugar level dropped to 2 My potassium is nw 3.2 she says it's low. I'd this dangerous. I'm in stage 4 ckd
My mom been to doctor months ago and given a treatment for low potassium. But after weeks potassium drop again so she needs to be admitted and it's 2 months now but today she feels the same thing, I guess her potassium drops again even though she keeps eating banana. Don't know what to do. She maintains medicine for her highblood pressure
If she has a primary care doctor that would be a good place to go for testing and management. Some blood pressure medicines and diuretics (water pills) can cause potassium levels to fall. Problems with other electrolytes (especially magnesium) can also cause low potassium.
@@nursevirginiairene many thanks for your response. Do you think is there any other way to keep her potassium level okay even she maintains her medicine for Highblood pressure? Or she might need to change her medicine. Maybe we'll go again to doctor this week😖😖. I already asked the doctor we consulted months a g that maybe because of her highblood pressure maintenance that caused low potassium but he gets angry and said there's no connection.😖
@@nursevirginiairene ive been diagnosed wt low potassium almost a year now... My latest reading drop to 2.6, so doctor increase my potassium pills to 4 tabs a day. I dunno what else to do to increase it.. Ive been eating banana, electrolyte drinks..
