I have a question. So in subclinical hypothyroidism, is it safe to say TSH level will be increased, T3 levels will be normal while T4 reduced?

I think never bound as the binding is stochastic anyway

About 2 years ago my bloodwork came back I had hypothyroidism doc prescribed me levothrax I was not aware of the nightmare I was about to face I started it first day was fine second day I started feeling really weird 3rd day I was going to bed not feeling well I woke up sweating bad stomach pain and heart racing like I just ran a marathon called the ambulance yep sure enough heart rate was 180 got rushed to hospital heart rate was still going up at this point I had a anxiety attack was told I had a panic attack was sent home next heart rate still racing for days finally I started having tremors and I was scared out if my mind thought I was dying I went back to hospital they sent me home again heart rate was 200 I’m pissed at this point I left and went home tried to take a bath tried to relax I couldn’t sleep for my heart racing so fast I went back to hospital they finally kept me tan test heart test all kinds of stuff they even accused me of being a drug addicted I have them a drug test everything was clean I told my doctor who prescribed the meds she told me to stop taking it I did but I got out the hospital they had me on a heart monitor the whole stay it went down lot but still was out of my normal range took months to get myself together it was all so weird and traumatic to me I stopped the meds completely and after a while my heart rate went back to normal I don’t know what it was but I still to this day believe it was that medicine so I’m scared to get my levels rechecked because I’m terrified of that medicine now so i don’t know what to do at this point I don’t have any symptoms I just pray my levels got it the right range because my body did not tolerate that medication at all !

I was prescribed today & upon looking up the medication facts included in the link I was sent to verify my Rx, I read about all of these possible side effects you’re describing & how I should stop taking the meds immediately if any of them occur. Also listed were nausea & extreme dizziness. I’m sorry you went through that & it’s always disheartening to have a negative experience in any medical setting. I am curious about whether you were asked or volunteered the info yourself abt being on this medication during any of your hospital visits? I’m not trying to be accusatory in any way or judgmental towards you at all. Rather, I’m curious as to whether they were incompetent to the level of not getting your current meds documented prior to sending you home or suggesting you had a substance abuse problem when the symptoms you’ve described could easily (moreover SHOULD easily) be attributed to side effects of this particular medication as well as many others. I will also add, I have had several significant negative experiences in medical settings myself & the best advice I’ve been given is to advocate for yourself ALWAYS. Not that we should have to, but that’s a bigger issue much more difficult to tackle. More important is your health & wellbeing which should always come first no matter what. For all of the medical professionals out there who unfortunately are the main contributors responsible for providing adequate care & don’t do so, there are many more that will and DO provide adequate and often excellent care. It is incredibly disheartening & extremely frustrating when we experience such frightening events as yours and many others, but I would like to stress that it should not keep you from seeking out any further care. I promise it is worth seeking out a qualified and reputable medical professional to assist you in your healthcare & once you find them it will be 1000% worthwhile. I am not saying any of this to minimize your experience, I promise. I am speaking based on my own personal experiences and as someone that has had to go through this exact process (and still am to some regard). I hope you are able to find a provider that suits you well & meets your needs, and I am very confident you can if you so choose. Good luck to you ❤

There is no way of preventing hypothyroidism except when it is caused by iodine deficiency for which the recommended diet is touched upon in this video
@MoonIsBookMarked
@MoonIsBookMarked 2 месяца назад
Thyroid diseases generally aren't preventable. This is because most cases of thyroid disease are linked to genetics and/or caused by autoimmune conditions, which you can't prevent. The two conditions you may be able to prevent are thyroid problems related to iodine excess or deficiency.
@TravelMamaAnnaVon
@TravelMamaAnnaVon Месяц назад
Don't get too stressed out. That's the prevention. Things that stress you out are: current societal structures globally, working 60 hours weeks, over exercising, family trauma, airports and cities and any type of environments that are similar + grocery store food which is all processed and treated water. If you know a prevention plan against all that, please drop in the comments.
