Just an FYI. This is their school in Monterrey, MX. They went to an all girls private school called Liceo (all of their classes were taught in English), and this was a concert they did at 7am on the last day of school before summer break for their school-mates. They had already released their first EP and were working on their first album XXI (21st) Century Blood. The Title track is their first and only true music video.
The bassist, Ale, recently did a bass-only cover of this which Muse put on their website. It has over 1.7 million views. Their originals are fantastic and they are especially great live. They have a classic rock sound and are today what you see -- no auto-tune, no gimmicks, no blatant sexuality. Their performance at Lunario in 2018 is legendary and all the live videos are pro-shot and available. It bears repeating what has been said before -- they are 14, 12 and 9 in this video.

My favourite song is Narcisista. They were getting criticism from some for not doing Spanish language songs, so they wrote a song, in Spanish, telling their critics to go eff themselves! It’s awesome!!
This video was my introduction to Muse. The first day I found The Warning from their Enter Sandman cover I saw this. I had never heard any Muse, but I bought some that day. I also fell into a The Warning rabbit hole that I haven't climbed out of in 2.5 years. I see some of my friends have already given you the lowdown. You can literally pick any song and see their talent. I like them all. For somebody new like you, I would hit you with Dull Knives, then let you drive it from there. It's a perfect 3 minutes of rock-n-roll.
This performance was actually a 7:30 a.m. assembly before classes at their school back in 2015 just before summer break. That summer these three sisters attended the summer program at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. That short-scale Fender Mustang bass was probably taller than Alejandra, who was ten at the time. She is now a Spector Bass featured artist, and she is the tallest of the three sisters, probably as a result of slinging a bass guitar around for most of her life! Alejandra and Paulina, the drummer who was thirteen, both were given an age waiver by Berklee so they could attend, because they were too young for the summer program. Daniela, at 15, was old enough not to require a waiver. I believe 15 was the minimum age. Their original releases include two singles, an EP, and two full-length albums, the latest being a concept album. Tip of the iceberg, my friend! Well, others has said, but they are threes sisters from Monterrey Mexico, have two almbums XXI century blood and Queen of the murder sceane. They were the opening act for the killers and def leppard, played in the same rock festival that Alice Cooper, megadeth, Vince Neil, a tour by Argentina and played in Colombia, they played in the whiskey a gogo, a good way to start might be with the original songs from XXI century blood and their only official music video of the same name.

Really enjoyed your reaction to the warning. I like how you paid attention to their musicianship and commented on the amount of skill involved to cover a Muse song well. I saw The Warning at the Whiskey-a-gogo in January 2020 and they put on one hell of a good show. Two of my favorite songs are Unmendable and Ugh. Preferably the live versions from the Lunario CDMX concert.
This was the first version of this song I ever heard - I had heard of Muse, but never listened to them, so I kind of "found them" through The Warning, actually. But this performance is still my favorite of all, even the Muse live performances (which are legendary level - but so's this!)

The Warning are 3 sisters from Monterrey in Mexico. You are spot on here re the bass line. The little girl is Ale. She’s only 10 here and believe or not she nailed this at only 8! There’s a clip of them practicing the song then. Paulina on drums is quite an accomplished percussionist. I recommend watching their version of Foo Fighters Everlong here at this same school concert. It’s fast and requires some pin point fills and quick hi hat work. Great job at only 13. Dani on guitar and vocals is 15 and puts on quite a mature performance. This was 6 years ago and that little girl Ale has grown from the smallest to the tallest at 16. With professional tuition,they can take their talent to the next skill level. Ale slapping the bass with solos,Pau varying her fills and Dani finessing her solos. Another guitarist would fill the music with better marketing helping their exposure. About to release their 3rd album after the recording last month in New York. Considering the sisters are still young at 16,19 and 21,they have a long way to reach their maximum potential. At least a decade. Plenty of time to hone their craft. Another songwriter might provide that extra bit of creativity and diversity as composing really develops with age and maturity. Still Pau and Dani have written some quite advanced material as young as 12,both musically and lyrically. Emotional and relationship content that Pau has written from her reading. Dani has written some nice ballads with good lyrics in Crimson Queen. All 3 are multi instrumentalists playing piano which they learnt classically at 8. Dani also plays sax. They’re a band to keep an eye on as with these extra developments,the sisters could really stamp their Mark in the industry. It’s just going to take time.

Many reactors are good for those seeking "confirmation bias". The bass that Ale was using is a Fender Mustang, short scale bass. Yes she was little but you should see her now! You failed to notice that she was playing traditionally and then coming over the top of the neck! Just a little flash from a little girl. Dany's vocals and guitar have only gotten better. Paulina is a drumming demon!

RU-vids algorithms are letting me down. This should have shown up in my recommendations before now. Those little fingers on tbe bassist are now like octopus tentacles and she uses them quite well. As to your next song, thete is no bad choice. It depends on what kind of music you like. My personal favorite is The End. It's a power ballad with subtle, melodic guitar solos that are to die for imo. Dull Knives and Ugh are just straight up, all out rockers. Queen of the Murder Scene (the title track of their second album) is probably their heaviest tune. XXI Century Blood (the title track of their first album) is a great song (my second favorite from the album) and their only song to date with a high budget music video. Whatever you choose you can't go wrong. This cover was long ago and the amount they have advanced in those years seems incredible but they were just feeling things out at this point.
The Warning are three sisters that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister) at 3 and Daniela (Dani = Dani. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to RU-vid for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and rehearsed for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show!.The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10 000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album XXI Century Blood in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded Queen of the Murder Scene and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, Narcisista. A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise fund for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lock down was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on RU-vid and Facebook achieving well over 50000 simultaneous viewers on March 25 2020. They have since performed from The Warning a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville Tx for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. Over hand technique on the bass by Alejandra. In a practice session done 2 years earlier, when Alejandra was 8 (she learned this baseline at 8!), she played the entire song without overhand technique. She learned the overhand technique during the 5 week music camp the girls attended at Berklee College of Music that summer. One of their instructors was David Ellefson of Megadeath. According to a professional bass player / instructor, this technique requires confidence and you have to be relaxed. Really enjoyed your reaction. I suggest going with Dust to Dust next as it features the drummer Pau on vocals. As others have suggested, Dull Knives from The Warning Cave for the De Tour charity event is another great option.
The bass player (Alejandra) was 10 at the time. Paulina, the drummer, was 13, and Daniela (the guitarist) was 15. Dust to Dust is a good place to start for their own compositions. Find a version on their RU-vid channel.

That was a short scale Fender Ale was playing,and when you first paused the video she was playing on top of the neck,reverted back,then went back to playing on top of the neck,before playing the rest of the song conventionally. And good on you for the Orange amps shout out - something the crew over at Mettal Maffia reactions always do. Seeing as this is your first reaction to The Warning you will soon be inundated by The Warning Army,and there's gonna be no turning back - you're going to be amazed at how good they are,especially with their own original material,but good to see the best female 3 piece band covering the best male 3 piece band - Muse,and yes - Muse are indie,I've been a fan since 1998 and their earlier material was definitely indie,but like many acts have evolved their sound.

I've heard other The Warning performances from that era and concert, but I don't think I've heard this one. It was indeed impressive, especially Ale on bass. She's still impressive, all grown up now (@ 19), but drummer Pau and Dany on vocals and guitar were awesome, even at those ages (10, 13, and 15). And you're not the first to notice the size of the bass vs Ale. Now she's tallest, plays a 5-string Specter, and it still looks pretty big, but she has no trouble handling it.

All 3 can and do sing lead, depending on the song and the circumstance. Ale (the bass player) is a reluctant lead singer but she has covered for Dany (lead guitar) when Dany was ill or had a tired voice. This is THE band worth of following. By every possible means but even only because of the bass lines only. They are always exceptionallly solid in every single performance and sond. By the way, Ms. Alejandra (the bassist) is the tallest one nowadays.
Yes, they were playing at a school but if you want to see them playing this song at a "real" venue check out this performance from The House of Blues in Hollywood from the same year (2015). Fairly poor video and audio but you will understand that they didn't just do school concerts. Inn 2015 they also performed on The Ellen Show where she and Target gave the girls $10k each to attend Berklee School of Music that summer. The Warning started by playing the video game Rock Band and at the end of their Berklee stay they visit the Rock Back corporate headquarters and were surprised with having one of their songs in the new Rock Band V4!!! Crazy how many times I've watched this review of yours of The Warning's cover of Muse's Hysteria. Partially because I love Muse and that Dany, Pau, and Ale kill it even back when they weren't even teens. Well, Dany was. :-) I enjoyed your comments also. So, I know you've watched some original songs of theirs since this but I think you need to return to another cover they did of Muse's Resistance! Yes, piano and all! Yeah Ale on bass was a touch uneven on the first time through, but once she locked in with Pau on the drums, near perfection. At 9. I still can't -play it up to speed at 64, doubt I ever will lol...

Man, you are not alone to fixated to Ale, she’s sweeping off the feet every man ( especially man who were not lucky enough to have a daughter ) there are videos about them playing the piano, ( all three can play multiple instruments ) and she was 4 yrs old, playing a piece where she had to cross her little hands in order to play it properly. Look it up brother, and your mind will be blown!!!

I believe the Villareal sisters are 15, 13 and 10 years old when they performed here, if my memory serves me correctly. The bassist, Alejandra, is not even playing a full size bass here. It's a junior size. She is the youngest. Paulina, the drummer, is the middle sister, and Daniela, the guitarist, is the oldest. The Warning are amazing songwriters, arrangers and performers. All of their original songs are equally great. Choose any one of their 33+ numbers. They are all bangers. After turning down many major record labels, they signed a 5 album deal with Lava/Republic Records. They finished mixing their 3rd full-length LP yesterday and it will now go to the mastering stage: all this after recently turned 21, 19 and 16 years old.
