Hytale - RiotX Arcane: Epilogue | Making Games From the Heart 

I forgot Riot purchased Hytale a while back, but this is still such a nice surprise :D

People have been complaining for years that the games are coming out incomplete, these people want to deliver a Complete game and the same people hate it because they are lasting too long

Even though Hypixel Studios is now part of Riot, it feels like it's still it's own indie studio interacting with the community. Great job so far! I'm sure the wait will be worth it!

after riot made Arcane, I'm confident in their ability to help create quality work.

I was already on board for original hytale, but man i was not expecting this combo with Riot games, i love league and i love minecraft and i really cant wait to have more tools to express myself and play with others!

When Hytale releases, I swear someone will build a whole replica of Pilltover and Zaun.

Its pretty cool how LoL came from dota and became so massive. Hytale is looking like it can do the same. Being the next big minecraft or roblox to a newer generation is MASSIVE. Riot knows what theyre doing so I have high hopes!

Considering how Micro$oft has treated Mojang recently, its refreshing to see how this is going. Indie, passion project, with a respect for the initial spirit of the game. I fully support the decision to take the extra time and funding to make a better game, instead of endlessly trying to patch up the original concept. Can't wait for the inevitable release!

When I saw the Hytale trailer back in late December of 2018, I fell in love with it ever since and I've had the strong desire to play it!! Still waiting and right now the count is 3 years and around a month now.

Man, it's been so long since I've last heard the word "Hytale". 3-4 years ago was when I got hyped up for it when I was playing bedwars with my friends. Our passion for Minecraft since had died down and we parted ways with each other. Hopefully this will reignite the love for Minecraft back then and get to play it again with them.

Right now Hytale has almost 60 million views on its trailer, which is absolutely massive for a game trailer. There are definitely big expectations on this game due to it being a spiritual sequel to Minecraft. I'm curious about how this game is going to turn out. I firmly believe the Minecraft formula can be improved upon, as even if it is an absolute titan of video game history, it was developed as a pretty experimental game, with a lot of decisions that are not necessarily optimals (I think in particular of the Survival mode, which is pretty unbalanced).

Combining the community of Riot & Minecraft will be something else.

Riot has my trust to not fuck this over for Hytale and actually be a really good support for them. Some people will bring League into this, but let's be honest, at this point making champions unbalanced is a marketing strategy. It is also a different genre of game... Anyway, I hope Hytale does really well and can't wait for more updates!

I've been following Hytale development pretty much since they first announced it and it's good to see development is still going strong. While most of the things explained in this video aren't new, it's great to see that Riot Games has a hands-off approach to Hytale development and is letting Hypixel Studios take the game in their own direction rather than controlling them and forcing them to make the game a certain way. Modern movement options such as mantling in a block game is huge. Minecraft has always lacked some of these more modern features and is unfortunately unable to implement them without compromising its own classic and nostalgic feeling. Also the daggers look awesome, I'm definitely going to be a dagger main when Hytale releases.

As a longtime Hypixel player, it makes me really happy to see them getting this kind of representation!

Hopefully after 9 years in development it will have been worth the wait

Yes! It's been so long since we've even gotten a trailer, so this is a welcome sight. These kinds of things help prove that the game development is still going strong.

It's a good thing that they said there's a blockgame genre, bc it feels like Minecraft is trying to be a lot of things at once while trying to retain its essence, and sometimes a game evolves so much it becomes a different game altogether, so I guess Hytale has potential to introduce new stuff as a "new game altogether"

Okay, Riot has proven that they deserve the S in Riot Games XD I just never expected a Minecraft like RPG

it would be cool for combat when playing for example sumo, right clicking your fists to block attacks and dodging movement like low crouching, crawlings, evading so you can auickly sprint to the side to evade combat attacks, it would be cool to have combat stuff like headshots that do bigger crit hits, hitting the legs with a crit can slightly slow you down, hitting crits on the arm making you swing your weapon slightly slower, even sliding under the leg to do a backstab to slow them down, this game has a lot of potential with combat, these are things I would love to see in Hytale Combat

I like this kind of weapon, with mobility (3:24) and the implemented scribble (6:00). The fight (3:55) looks good, I see that you made micro stuns, which can interrupt the skill, I think you also implemented the block (from some light attacks) and some skills that give more resistance (that is, you cannot knock them down / is possible, but difficult). It's a pity that they showed little, but thanks for that too! Looks very good)

Been waiting for this game since the trailer release. In this video, I can clearly seeing some physics improvement in the fighting scene. Animation seem to be way smoother are well. Contruction tool look awesome as always. There is clearly an evolution in the dev side. And for that I'm willing to forgive for the long wait

Lowkey feels great that the game industry is no longer being primarily controlled by giant corps like EA, Ubisoft, activison blizzard, etc, but now it's more in the hands of indie developers. (Granted riot is now backing them but gosh darn it they deserve those resources)

Honestly. Riot may have their flaws, but i honestly would say that Riot currently is the best gaming company, they’re expanding, developing and supporting new IP’s and varying types of games that fit many different genres. LoL, Valorant, the Ruined King Game, the yet to be released fighting game, and now Hytale. They actually take care of their IP’s with new content, regular balancing and expanding the companys plate so to speak whilst at the same time listening, responding and action on what the community says. Lets be greatful for the people at riot that are doing a great job.

Back in 2016, Minecraft and League were like the only two games I played at the time. I remember playing Hypixel's beta adventure worlds and being astonished at how much effort they put in to the creativity of the world. Glad Hypixel has another shot at something great
