This is Hyundai Creta 2022 SX(O) variant with 1.5L Petrol Engine and iVT Automatic Transmission, and we have tested it's engine performance plus ride & handling on Indian roads and given our honest and unbiased impressions on the same on the very first drive on the car. Well explained .. I see lack of awareness for 1 feature which is added to Highend model Creta sx IVT that is the Panoramic sunroof. No 1 so far spoke much about cons, all talk about pros or wow factors. it would be great if Car explorers deep dive into these factors as well. All d best!!

You should drive ecosport, VW taigun, venue, sonet, seltos 2021 models to actually feel what stiff suspension are like. Creta suspension is much comfortable in bad roads comparing to these.

Great review! Would you recommend the iVT variant for driving in hills? Especially over steep uphill curves? Can the S +/- transmission support the power required to climb an uphill road that a manual gear transmission easily provides? Also, while driving, did you ever feel that you had to wait for the engine to shift gears automatically?

Thanks! iVT gives a very smooth transmission experience and the car will never put you in a spot where u feel lack of performance, just coz of this automatic transmission If you want manual transmission like performance, you can, yes, use the Sports (+/-) mode, so that it holds a certain gear ratio and only changes when u tell it to do so, or hit the redline

As far as Fuel economy is concerned your calculations are wrong , this IVT variant is capable of delivering best fuel economy around 19-20 Km on highway with cruise control very easily

Creta offers 2 petrol engine options 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol - 113bhp 1.4L turbo charged petrol - 138bhp Both have 90+ power to weight ratio and feels powerful.......if u r transitioning from a small hatchback or compact sedan, u will find creta very good on performance front Hope it helps

Well, it depends from which dealership you are expecting the delivery, coz they might/might not have the stock for sx ivt But typically the waiting period can go upto 6 months as well

There are 2 perspectives: #1 Generally, CVT is a smoother transmission and DCT is quickest transmission, due to their very nature of principle of working....... #2 In Creta, CVT is offered with 1.5L Naturally Aspirated petrol engine, whereas DCT comes with 1.4L Turbo Petrol engine. Out of the two engines, turbo petrol churns 22% more power and 68% more torque with almost similar fuel efficiency, which when further mated with DCT, makes the experience even more sportier.......so Creta DCT would be the choice for enthusiastic driving . If same engine would have been offered with CVT and DCT, my choice would have been CVT for its smoother operation..... But in case of Creta (it's not just about the transmission, but also about selecting the engine), my choice would be Creta DCT if budget allows, if not then CVT . Hope it helps

Thanks for watching Creta CVT feels very good on performance front and u will get the true advantage of CVT automatic on hills (ultra smooth gear shift) The mileage might not be good, but performance will satisfy your requirements

CVT means smooth DCT means quick If u are not very big performance enthusiast, I would recommend u to go for CVT (it's the best automatic)

Automatic for city use surely can lower down ur hassle of using clutch+slotting gears again and again While reducing ur efforts, it adds to ur overall comfort In short CVT for city use 10 on 10

City mileage bumper to bumper in traffic is 6-7. Highway mileage is 10-12. Smart Boot opening is not there. Boot space should have been more. Touch screen should have been bigger. Rear room leg space to be increased. Overall rating is 7/10.

Both are same. CVT is standard industry name and IVT name is given by Hyundai for CVT.

@@harikeshsinghydv7608 I own a SXO IVT. I am a relaxed driver. For me there is no lag in power. Kickdown is also available in descent amount. I found no extra efforts for overtaking as compared to manual. CVT gearbox is ideal for city and bumber to bumber traffic. Highway performance is good enough for relaxed driving. Always go for top varient (SXO) as it gives you all bells and whistles.

@@harikeshsinghydv7608 Well I have petrol. The diesel one is not cvt. Its a more conventional torque convertor. There shd be no lag then if it all exists. Hyndai's engines are very refined. The diesel is also very quiet and it has good tourque.
