Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) has launched its entry-level SUV the Exter in India at Rs 5.99 lakh (introductory, ex-showroom) to Rs 10.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The Exter is available in two engine options, a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual and automatic transmission and the other is a bi-fuel petrol +CNG engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Prices: The prices of the Hyundai Exter range from Rs 5.99 lakh to Rs 10.09 lakh (ex-showroom).
Variants: The Exter is available in EX, EX(O), S, SX, SX(O), and SX(O) Connect.
Performance: The Exter comes with a 1.2-litre petrol engine which produces 83 bhp of power and 114 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Also, the Exter is available with a bi-fuel CNG engine which produces 68 bhp of power and 95 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox only.
Mileage: The Exter has a fuel efficiency of 19.4 km/l with 5-speed manual transmission and 19.2 km/l with the AMT gearbox. The CNG variants offer a claimed economy of 27.1 km/kg.
Dimension: The Hyundai Exter boasts a length of 3,815 mm, a width of 1,710mm, and a height of 1,631mm, with a wheelbase of 2,450mm.
Interior/Features: A broad selection of modern amenities, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering mounted control, electric sunroof, cruise control, digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, dual-camera dashcam, projector headlamps among other features.
