Booked the exter month ago and the dealership called me for the unveiling of the car. Only 2 people including me had pre booked the car in this dealership and they asked us to cut the ribbon, light the diyas and unveil the car from the covers, and the best part I just loved it in first glace. Going for the Sx varient and will get the delivery next month😊

This is not the correct way of doing comparison. Few important points which people should consider before buying. 👉Tyre size ( both radius & width wise) . As both are termed as micro suv , little bit of rough road tackling capability+ tyre traction + driving dynamics is important. Pls note EXTER has smaller and narrower tyres even on top models . Even WHEEL WELLS are smaller , tyre and suspension travel are key factors. 👉 PLATFORM of which these vehicles are based upon. which vehicle can has better driving dynamics, structural rigidity ,crash worthiness, road manners ....depends vastly upon CHASSIS/ PLATFORM. EXTER is based on much 'cost-effective' Nios platform 👉 SUSPENSION. there is significant difference between the suspension of both vehicles. Major cost cutting are done by manufacturers in these areas. What is the type of suspension used , suspension travel , wheel well hight. .....are the key questions PUNCH has an edge here. 👉 ENGINE . what is the drivability of engines used , smoothness , drivability, fuel consumption, etc are also points to judged. HYUNDAI definitely over score on TATA, on this particular point. 👉 SEATING COMFORT. both car give good posture and space to front and rear benchers. EXTER definitely is more spacious at the back , with more headroom and legroom
Only the reason to consider punch is...SAFETY. i have a punch and face the following issues: 1. Parking brake engaged warning 2. Hanging camera and infointment system 3. 10kmpl mileage amt delhi 4. Poor service. Response to any complaint is, " we did not encounter the issue" 5. When starting amt, brake is needed to be hard pressed. Once in every 15th start, the brake does not engage for 2-3 seconds after starting. I have avoided some accidents by luck while driving out of the parking lot.
I am a owner of punch amt for more than 1 year & never faced any of the above issues. Mileage in 16-18 avg, & only negative I faced is amt acceleration is not quick.
Punch basically 3 cylinder engine and where as Exter is a 4 cylinder engine as such even we get better fuel efficiency by Punch due 3 cylinder but you will get better refined engine by Exter due to 4 cylinder engine
Does bikes comes with NCAP rating too ? Bike mein bhi NCAP rating hona chahiye, kyu ? NCAP se kuch nahi hota, jo jaisa chalayega uska waisa natija hoga.
@@aksks371 Talking about the body, I've seen many TATA cars getting rust after few years of delivery, never heard such issue with hyundai cars. Just wait to see EXTER getting 5 star rating.
I will give 39000/- more for Punch As there are 3 reasons 1. Safety- Sturdy Body shell with 2 airbag provid more safety then poor body shell with 6 airbag 2. Tata car have better chasis so you will enjoy driving with Good driving dynamics And yes stearing feedback of Tata car way better then Hyundai 3. And most important reason it's Tata car who contributes in Country's growth even before independence of India....
What about the tank like build quality, 5 star safety, great ride & handling!!.. I will pick & recommend the solid Tata over a car like Hyundai any day 🤷♀️.. Also Punch looks much neater & stylish allround than the stupid rear styling of Exter!! Overall your verdict is a big 👎👎
3 cylinder tuktuk garbage engine is so pathetic that even the 5 star rating cannot is not enough to justify why someone should buy Punch. And then the horrible after sales services. Exter is a much, much better and far superior option.
The comparison is not fair without GNCAP rating, Punch should get the 5 ⭐ advantage despite being tested in old protocol while Hyundai cars never got above 3⭐. Please include the 5 ⭐ safety then compare.
@@vardanrathi7777 Then how u represent stars to equivalent monitory value for calculation purpose? OfCourse it changes from person to person. I can give 10-50 lakhs for each star rating (with minimum thresh hold). As of today my life value is 10 crores. Just go to bank and ask your life value. U may say no one can estimate life value but we need to attach some value to life for calculations at least right ?
@@sateeshum8342 The whole idea of equating life with money is redundant. Each car that is launched in India has go mandatorily clear a 55 kmph test. Not many people know about it though. Rest is dependent on active safety features like ESC ESP VSM HHA Airbags etc. And when everything fails, only then structural safety matters.
Strong body metal used in punch is not mentioned. With this Steel used in Punch, even Exter's SX(o) features wont match.. So VFM is PuncH CreativE. Life will not come back again.
Punch AMT is the worst. I drove many cars with AMT transmission but never felt any kind of jerk except Punch. Nowadays AMT transmission is also fine tuned but that is not the case with Punch. I am yet to drive an Exter AMT variant but I am quite sure engine refinement would be good only as it's standard 1.2l kappa engine which is being used in i10 etc.
Hi. I’m planning to go for the punch. Can you please tell me the issue is with the Phase 1 punch or Phase 2 . After how many kilometers has the issue come or was it there from the beginning?
@@amithnambiar9818 Hi, I am not sure about the phase but I took the test ride around March 2023. I felt the jerk from the beginning itself. Kindly note that I am talking about AMT transmission. I didn't take the manual test drive.
Should promote an Indian car maker..remember what Mr Nitin Gadkari said. Japanese ,korean people just buy from their own companies. Indian companies can't sell anything there
jinhe tata ka cabin silent nhi lgta. Hyundai ka silent lgta h unke liye.... Hyundai car m shanti dhundne wale bhagwan ko pyare ho gye. ab shanti hi shanti
In Nexon harrier why people are dying every 3 days?? Life saver car ha...real life accident 5 star paid crash rating won't help..real life me accident 64 km le specific impact pe accident nahi hote better to drive safe avoid night driving, stable car, not like Nexon jo palat Jaye ba bar..brake acche ho speed me chalo rather than 5 star star pe rote raho and mar jao
Finally you mentioned the important factor today.. The crash test rating.. Bravo for it... and on above basis punch is definitely a clear winner... Features may be retrofited but life can't... 🙏
I bought EXTER 5 days ago SXo Petrol Starry night color. Mileage average 17 to 18.2. Bad road noise is felt from the wheels inside the car , but the suspension is good. The car seat position is low so tall people will have difficulty getting out of the car. Engine performance is very good, soundless engine. The headlight brightness is very bad on the highway at night which is not enough at all. It is a feature loaded average car. It is more like feature loaded hyundai's Wagon r.
What about shoulder space. Frankly I am thinking to switch from ignis 5star safety is clear advantage for Punch. However which one is more comfortable if 3 people sits in rear seat
@@ninil5902 skip nios straight away... Now ignis and Exter .. ignis is cheaper than Exter .. ignis value for money variant is Zeta (6.9 L) and for Exter is SX (8L).. 1 lakh price difference.. for that 1 Lakh exter have rear AC, hill hold, 6 air bags, auto AC, Sun roof, premium interior... Ignis will be better in mileage and driving... Exter have over all comfort especially for rear passengers...Am also had same confusion only thing stopped me from booking ignis is it is too old (launched in 2016) Maruti messed up by not giving facelift this year.. so planning to book Exter... If you're budget is limited to 8L then go for ignis.. if you able to push it by 1.5L then go for Exter
Perfect car of India "TATA PUNCH" 5 star GNCAP rating 👍💪. Friends don't buy Hyundai and kia cars, those are not safe , less than 3 star GNCAP. 👎👎👎 and cost is very high 🤔🤮
Tata may have built the safest cars but their after sales and service is horrible and shitty. Even fanbois will agree... Moreover 3 cylinder engine rattling is not bearable for everyone. Whereas Hyundai is best known for shitty built quality but still not worse than maruti hence Exter is better value for money in longer run with the data as you have shown. For me, I will never buy Tata car until they improve their service. I don't want to get stranded.
What about the safety bro gncap ka rating kya hai, obviously u don't have an answer, as a result😂 we know who owns u, that's why u tell it at last, please give more preference to safety
Hyundai spare parts are costier Moreover it is hydrolic clutch a small plastic tube controls the clutch and it break after the warranty for replacement it will cost about 7K
The importance of a strong build should be given precedence over a 4-cylinder engine since life is precious and cannot be retrofitted like other features😅
You need more useful features and comfort driving within and around city . TATA punch is better if you frequently travel on highways/ long distance or hills
Basically they do test of car crash at around 55 km speed. And the results based on that. Where in real life it's not necessary that you'd hit accident at that speed always. So whether 5* or 3* it's always on you to not get into accident at first place. Drive safely, follow driving rules. Varna aadmi toh chalte chalte bhi gir keh mar jata hai😅
@@PantheshPanchalI love the confidence in you, it is tested under 64 km/hr, in real time it translates to more than 90 km/hr. It's head on collision too the worst form of accident. You need a body shell to be strong to take the impact. You should always drive safe with or without safety, but the other guy might not drive safely.
The new GNCAP mandates minimum 6 airbags for 5 stars. So, Tata Punch automatically are disqualified for 5 stars even without testing. It's all about papers and stats 😂😂
If GNCAP can guarantee safety of life w/ 5 stars, we will declare any 5 star car winner without an analysis. At the same time, GNCAP should also specify what rating will be life-threatening.
@@V3cars-Official That might be one of the most stupid things I have heard all year. I hope you lose your monetization for supporting such purposeful killings by the hands of manufacturers.
Hyundai did cost cutting in fog lamp and tyre size, tyre width and Quality.. Build up Quality anyway will not good... In AMT, exter almost 70000 Rs high
Your all opinions considering and both cars test drive. I guess to tata punch is better option than exter. I'm goes with punch no doubt. And I have booked tata punch today..
Hello, If possible please try,do and share a similar comparison for there respective CNG variants. Also please don't use the values of claimed mileage as they are highly inflated and computed in ideal conditions. As in real world scenario the actual mileage (City / Highway) of Hyundai Exter would easily beat TATA Punch by a huge margin.
Nice video You need correction on pricing pronounciation about exter or punch I think your tongue slipped Between 6:07 to 06:15 of your video Appreciate your efforts
As long as one is driving in city with all due care,it hardly matters what crash test rating the car has got. Even a five star rated car is as vulnerable as a 2-3 star rated car if the car speed is beyond certain limits. And what if the collision occurs from the side instead of from the front ? Correct me if I am wrong.
Plz don’t stick on any brand buy the cars above 4star, it is ur life and death matter Car full of air bag means it is not 5 star rated car even 2 air bag sufficient but car must be strong
Thanks for this video.. How much impact a 15 or 16 inch wheel makes for off-road? Also it changes the entire look of the car.. + Extra 1.2 inch width in Punch makes 3 people sitting slightly more comfortable..
Hi….im having Astor cvt…5k km driven….lag is there as it is cvt…. I’m planning to buy creta cvt ….how is the difference between these two cvt….is it worth upgrading
