Our family owns this car since 2011 its a top end model diesel with all 4 disc and 6 airbags and it has done 325 k kilometers 🧡

This first i20 was 5 star safety rating and one of the robust build quality

Thank you so much sir for reviewing this... My dad bought this car in 2009 when I was 3 and we still have it, 13 years later. It is the Magna 1.2 MT. It did not give us many problems, it has an underpowered but butter smooth engine, it was refined, and so on. But, around 3 months back, the engine belt broke and after repair, the service guys said that it's end is nearing, it won't last much longer. Also, we decided to buy a new car by then, the Honda City 1.5 VTEC MT (it will be delivered next week) and so, this video came at the right time to celebrate the i20. I grew up with the i20, and now, the very thought of selling it breaks my heart...

If you don't want to give a respectful review of first generation then don't please don't insult the first generation , i am proud of owner of 2012 i20 petrol

I have a 2009 i20 Asta 1.4 crdi. It's Fully loaded with Sunroof, 8 airbags, steering mounted control, ABS and all these are stock from the company. A 2009 hatchback with all these features was more than the expectations.

Own this till date, superb build quality and cool interiors

Our family member for nearly 12 years. I20 Sportz petrol Manual transmission, bought in December 2010. Our first car of our family, this car carries so much of our emotion. Still remember we went nearly every brand showroom, including Chevrolet, Ford, Maruti, during those times there was no Kia, Renault, Nissan in market that much. Out of everything, we were just jaw dropped when we got into i20, each other cars felt cramped in terms of legroom, i20 just felt like sitting in sofa in my house. We were fully bowled and decided to go for it. Even during those times, i20 provided industry first features such as electronic adjustable ORVM, steering mounted controls, sunroof and many more. Ride Dynamics felt decent, passenger comfort were quite decent, suspension was quite soft and comfortable for bumpy rides, yeah sometimes ground clearance was a little issue in deep craters and big speed breakers,but for most it's not a problem. Clocked nearly 38 thousand kilometres, been part of regular city rides and many long distance trips too, on long distance we didn't get easily fatigued all because of the spacious seats. This year is the final year it is with us, we had booked Kia Carens, so we will have to sell it, but it left us with so many vivid memories, it will be missed

This car had 6 Airbags in the top end in 2008 💪

The Old Hyundai cars were great compared to the current gen cars 😅. Specially the OG i20 still love this hatchback. Damn on those days Hyundai used to offer 6 airbags and all disc brakes 🔥. Even the build quality was far better then the latest gen i20

Loved the first and second gen I20s. Infact we were close to booking one but unfortunately there was no dealership in our vicinity 😢

The Premium Hatchback kicstarter, Hyundai i20 is one of the top seller in its segment. This generation looks ubercool and premium. And the main highlight of i20 was the 1.4L CRDi diesel motor. I wonder why they gave 5-Speed Manual in diesel in 2011-2012.

U should make a vlog on i20 sportz crdi (abs) It is a fab car . It also has a 6 speed gear box with a diesel engine

The Hyundais were always ahead of the game. The auto lock feature is completely stock. In my 2012 i10 sportz. The auto lock and unlock is completely stock.

I had a Hyundai i20 sportz petrol manual transmission which I bought in dec 2011. It was really a premium hatchback and sometimes it feels like a compact off-road SUV. I sold the car in Aug 2019. I had to sold this because I bought a Honda Amaze not for any problem in the car. The car was really awesome. ❤️

This car has 6 speed manual transmission since 2008 in 1.4 L Diesel . Also it scored 5 star 🌟 safety rating NCAP . I owned this car from 2011 to 2018 . After that purchased Creta 1.6 Diesel as per suggestion of Faisal Bhai ♥️♥️.

We bought fiat Punto instead of i20 in may 2013. But there were more cons than pros It had very low ground clearance you have to go very slow in bad roads or uneven speed breaker. 2. the driving position was very low for short height person aisa lagta tha ki gadde mein baithe hai Pros - we got rain sensing wipers , all four power windows illuminated, very deep boot space remote locking with follow me lamps And an amazing engine with 6 speed gearbox. Unfortunately in 2018 Kerala floods our car broke down and sold it for 1.5 lakh it was not in running condition .🙁

i20 has been a classy vehicle from Hyundai, its premium hatchback maintaining its legacy...

Buddy i sold my i20 diesel asta from 2010 Last month. I20 with Diesel engine woth all four disc was a charm. Of course we drove 1.66lacs km before selling it but i still miss that car.

That auto lock is not an aftermarket feature. It’s present in my Santro2010. When the engine starts it’s auto locks and when the engine is turned off. It’s gets unlocked. It’s a really cool feature. Sounds like Gwagon

I had the same i20 magna white for almost 13 years. Thoroughly enjoyed the space, luxury and comfort. It did have lot of problems and i had to shell out lot of money to sort out the issues. But i think its not the car, its the service engineers who couldn’t sort out the issues. Anyway! What a brilliant car it was. True premium hatchback. Even today that’s the case. The baleno or altroz still have a long way to go to reach the level of premium-ness of i20.

Engine is a gem ... 🔥.but the handling dynamics were skipped by Hyundai 🤣🤣🤣

Old Hyundai Cars were great! My family has a 2014 Verna with the 1.6 CRDI Diesel engine which is fantastic. It has done almost 1 lakh kms on the odo. Btw a vlog on that would be really appreciated 👀❤️

I20 biggest issue I faced after 5 years of usage was repeated clutch problem. Once you drive for approx 45 minutes, then you press clutch it will stick and won’t come up to original position. I changed slave cylinder at least 6 times paying 4000 each time plus service charge. Then the mechanic told me it’s manufacturing issue since clutch is positioned close to engine picking heat from engine and getting jammed. He said it’s one of the most common problem in i20. I felt this very unreliable since we go outing with family and the transmission fails middle of the road and trip gets cancelled. We have a santro which we used for 15 years and no issue at all, but i20 gave us terrible times after 5 years completed

I20 1gen facelift topend has auto headlight,rain sensing auto viper,auto dimming rear view mirror,all wheel disk, steering wheel adjectments,inside mirror reverse camera,headlight adjustment, electric folding sideview mirrors, Bluetooth,rear parking sensors,steering wheel controls,keyless entry,engine start stop button, in 2012 some luxury cars don't have this much futures.

Still own an asta 2010 model white colour till date and I've done about 19k kilometres here in Aizawl,Mizoram. Still fell like next to showroom condition because i used it very rarely on weekends only and i will never let it go as it was my first car and where i have lots of memories in it.

Every hatchback lovers first love i20 and i20 activ. New gen isn't same.

Iam using this first generation i20 from 2008 magna model petrol. have i20 2018 model too . But the joy of riding older generation car is much better than driving latest one. Even the feature list of newer generation car is less. No telescopic steering adjustment in newer generation sports model no trunk light etc lot many features are missing in sportz model 2019, which are there in 2008 magna model.. Overall I 20 is still the best hatch to drive on indian road

I had a 2010 diesel i20 asta option 6 airbags with sunroof. Sunroof one was sold for limited period only. The generation of i20s after this weren’t as solidly built as this one. Front seats were wide and comfy. Seat covers used to spoil the original seat comfort of this car.

sir i also have the car i20 2011 Magna 1.2 P. But i have one issue regarding the door lock. Would you kindly cross check with your car too please? 1. Open the driver door. 2. Make sure door open light is ON. 3. Now, (with still door open) fully push the Door Switch Button on the vertical door frame. 4. Now, the door light should be OFF. 5. With still fully holding the Door Switch Button, lock the driver door manually by hand. All doors should be locked automatically. 6. The main point is.... Now, fully release the Door Switch and make sure that door light is OFF. Does the driver door and other doors UNLOCK automatically? Or they're still in LOCK position? 7. If they're still in LOCK position, once again, fully pressed the door switch from released position. Do they UNLOCK automatically once you pressed the switch? In my car i20 2011 Magna, in point 6, doors are still LOCKED even when switch is released fully. However, in point 7, doors are UNLOCK automatically as soon as the switch is pressed again (still hold). So these 2 points are normal? Please kindly confirm from your end. Thanks.
