This car is mk4 sante fe I believe this box is traditional torque converter New mk5 new grille is dct 6 speed I just bought a 2019 santefe mk4 top spec htrac 14700 miles last weekend Would not have paid full vat price But I find it great car overall 42 43 mpg long runs Very comfortable Loads of spec love head display Plenty torque in engine I find 8 speed auto box very smooth

@@forresg500 hi. I looked at the Mk4 a few years back and dealer told me it was a dct. We also have a Kona GT which is a 7 speed DCT and you can tell its got clutch bite and slipping going on at low speeds and it dosent take long for the horid smell of slipping clutch when for example driving in slow traffic on hills or reversing manouvers. The kona handbook as section just on how best to drive a dct to avoid transmission over heat and the car going into a safety mode!. We tow almost 2 tones with the current SF, i would not want to subject a dct to such stress which is a shame as new models look great. The list prices also put the newer SF's at a much high annual road tax for he first 6 years. Are you using yours for towing?

I don't use for towing just enjoy driving bigger car. Car has just under 200bhp Gearbox mk4 is definitely traditional auto box not dual clutch and 8speed is very smooth

@@forresg500 The R series 2.2 diesel is a great engine. What tyres are fitted to yours, ive always stuck with the oem hankooks / khumo's but changed recently to michelin crossclimate SUV and can honestly say it has transformed the car in terms of handling and reduction in road noise..

Yes but the Ssangyong is truly ugly , mind you that's their USP, and the Ssangyong will depreciate faster than you can keep up payments For what it's worth I wouldn't buy either, especially the SY
