Hyundai Veloster MOT Time, And it's bad news 

I have a 2007 Hyundai Coupe and if the Veloster is made of the same monkey metal then it's a good idea to do some rust prevention on the underside. I spray Lanoguard on the underside every year just before the winter sets in and that keeps the rust and crust in check, it's never got any worse in the 8 years I've owned the car doing this.

my i20 last 4 mot was clean pass 2011 car, not even advisory. i take my car to my local mechanic and get it serviced and check over . i always say i do not want advisory's so if any doubt fix it so he dose that then takes car to mot center. for two years i had no abs,esp,tc but as no error code till it fully failed just a computer wipe before test but it turned out to be a brake censor and it turned all the safety stuff but was cheap to fix, £100 fix. i not be happy if i got one advisory and i make it clear to my local mechanic if in doubt fix it before, if costly give me heads up and see if cheaper option to get through mot and do proper fix before the next mot but no cheap fix i just get it sorted as i put money aside for bigger issues. over all i20 extra things no more than £240 a year average, standard wear parts and full set tires £60 each, new disks and pads new tires and just last month a new clutch but it was original and did 100k miles so was expected but not costly as thought, mot before clutch as he had no time before but still clean pass but mot a service and a clutch just under £500 so cannot complain but as temp car as still looking for a long term car now on 4th year looking was holding off on clutch but i knew it go at some point but lucky when it went soon it cooled it was sorta ok so it got me home and to garage then to mot. over all for 2011 my car been good, but well maintained, lot allow it to beak first before fixing not me if its close to going i fix it before, even if it stop advisory what may not need doing for a year maybe two. i could punch last owner he get advisory for tires, wipers, bulbs a lazy idiot so as soon i got car it was fully serviced and list parts to sort over time now it better than when i got it 4 years later

Blimey failing on dust covers 😡No Fail day is a god day but I dare say as failures go this isn't the worst news..... They'll Soon be writing cars off for swirls in the paintwork.
