Can it tig weld aluminum if not I want to convert my mig side with on adapter so I connect my tig torch to it see what happens I tried mig welding aluminum with the mig I don't like the result its burning tru r its not holding and black al around I turned up my argon to 40 psi
From what I know you can only Tig aluminum with AC Tig this machine is DC so I heard it won't work but haven't tried it. Did you run the mig with the Ground cable in the negative connector? That could be the issue if not. What thickness of aluminum are you welding? Are you using aluminum wire? What type?
@@joesledrider8530 am using er5356 wire .035 inch and I try switching the polarity didn't work it look even worst so I am sure I have it right just like how it shows me to set up. question is the mig side of the welder AC that's y ir can weld in the mig settings only
@@kevhen4740 No, the mig side is DC also as far as I know. I would try .030 wire if the .035 is burning through. Also lower the voltage and try it. When mig welding aluminum you have to move fast.
