Sığacık is a seaside neighborhood of Seferihisar ilçe (district) of İzmir Province, Turkey. It is at 38°11′N 26°47′E. Its distance to Seferihisar centrum is less than 5 kilometres (3.1 mi). It is situated on a small peninsula, facing north. The harbor is in the east side of and the beaches are in the west side. Its population is 3637
Sığacık is next to the ancient Ionian city of Teos. An Ottoman castle (now in ruins) built in 1522 is also in Sığacık. Up to 2009 Sığacık was a fishermen's village. But after Seferihisar became a city of Cittaslow, Sığacık gained fame as a town of quiet holiday resort.

Sigacik, a quarter of Seferihisar located 5 km. west of the city centre, spans from the Sigacik Castle which was built in XVI. Century. First settlement was established in the bay that was once the north harbour of the ancient city of leos.
Sigacik Castle was built by Fleet Admiral Parlak Mustafa Pasha between 1521 and 1522 by the order of Suleiman the Magnificent as part of the preparations of the Rhodes Campaign.
The structure consists of an outer castle and an inner castle, acting as a military ward where soldiers trained and spent their spare times.There are two bastions and two doors-on the inner castle facing the sea Stones of the ancient city of Teos were used in the construction. Thus it is possible to see several
ancient inscriptions from Teos on the walls.
Sigla/Sigala (Sigacik), a residential area at that period, became an important harbour for grain and dried fruits in te XV. Century following the construction of the castle. Sigacik castle served as a naval base rather than a castle
protecting the settlement and later became a customs control centre.
Traditional Sigacik houses, a mosque, a Turkish bath, a masjid (small mosque) and commercial areas exist within the castle. The houses are adjoining building with one or two stories each. Most of the houses are made of adobe and have inner courts. Bay windows and wooden shutters are characteristic of the two story buildings. Stairs and doors are wooden.
