When my oldest son was Laurels age I took him to a toy store in the mall and put him down in front of a giant wall of stuffed animals. He picked an Ernie doll. When we paid for it he cried huge tears because we had to give it to the cashier. Gave it back to him fast and that was his best buddy for years. He's 38 now and I still rescue Ernies for him.

I have a beautiful light blue green crystalline vase I found in an old garage where my son just moved to, he and his fiancé are buying the home and all antiques went with it. I got that a small hope chest that’s absolutely darling and a vanity that’s all vintage and antique for free. I also found more wonderful things, too many to remember. Now that’s my kind of thrifing. We also went to an antique mall while visiting waynesville and Asheville North Carolina.

My Grandpa was a Free Mason, and my Grandma was an Eastern Star. Both have their respective emblems attached below their names on their crypts. So I am very familiar with both. But I am also 68 years old. Younger folks aren't interested in joining these groups anymore, and I suspect they will all eventually disappear.

My grandmother was a member of the eastern star and my grandfather was a mason. So I definitely know what they are! I have their pins. Laurel is such a good baby! I too have those seasonal allergies and they're brutal! I feel for her. Broke my heart to see her unhappy. She was so tired! I love that kitchen witch! Is that a butt? Sauerkraut. My go to when allergies flare up. Works for me. Long ago at an allergy doctor's office, I saw a chart on his wall that talked about allergies being contented to gut health. Sauerkraut is gut health super food. So I guess there might be a connection.

Except if you have a histamine sensitivity😢 I found out my kids issues were not allergies (even though they were identical) but that we lack the enzyme needed to break down fermented foods fast enough. Which is also why milk will make some congestion flare up, it's really not the milk but the fermentation process that causes milk to have higher histamine levels, along with many other foods! I had NO idea about any of this but was fascinated how it's all linked with gut health.
