For tobacco some studies have shown a decrease among cases of Parkinson's disease and a couple of other diseases. But damaged health in too many other ways to be helpful. An Australian agency suggested that for every 1 person helped by tobacco 250 died. As for alcohol, there have been a few studies in the past that have suggested alcohol in moderation can be beneficial to heart health and other things. But many studies haven't seen a benefit to alcohol. The World Health Organization says that alcohol isn't good in any amount. In the US public it has been noticed that certain groups that abstain from these things have better health and live longer than the general population. The Seventh Day Adventists is one such group.

People in Japan have a very high life expectancy. I saw in some videos a 83 year old Japanese woman cooking food at a restaurant. I saw a Japanese man who was 78 years old making and selling hotdogs. A lot of these old Japanese people are healthy enough to work. The story is different in the US, people here are old and cannot work.

I would recommend you to not invest in Japan stock market, the Nikkei is fighting a gigantic government debt bubble, and also fighting inflation caused by the Japanese central bank printing a lot of money, you're almost certainly guaranteed to lose money investing in the Japanese stock market. If i were you, i would invest in either gold or crypto, no government debt liability and no inflation risk.
