I’m 50 years old middle-aged Japanese man. I went to the most popular sushi restaurant in Japan My new RU-vid channel of learn Japanese: / @isaokingking My contact: info@askjapan.work
You should do these restaurant reviews with your wife. I feel like it’d be fun together and a good way rekindle your relationship with each other again.
Hahaha. You know, for a culture that prides itself on food presentation so much, that firefly squid looks horrendous. I hope it tastes better than it looks though.
50 year old New Zealand man here. Today I ate a bowl of cooked oats with psyllium husk, protein powder and whole milk, and also one cup of stove-top espresso coffee. Watching 50 year old Japanese man eating sushi made me hungry.
@@askjapan9669 Yes it is a bit funny 😂 Finally you bought something bigger to eat for yourself 👍 Askjapan, thank you very much for another fantastic video. You are getting better each video you upload. Keep up the good work. Your vlogs are very comfy to watch and relax. Great, soothing voice ideal for voice-over like this. I love to watch the beauty of Japan because I like this country very much. Its culture and history are amazing. I know for sure that you are on your way to become a great RU-vidr and earn more money for yourself and your family. どうも ありがとう ございます ! ❤
@@yukiefromoz2573 I would love to travel to Japan if I had enough time, health and money. But basically my worsening health makes it impossible and that is why I am so thankful for the world wide web, streaming and people like Askjapan. Greetings. I can watch every country from the safety of my home.
That stuff is ultimately pretty mid for Japan if you're able to get 100-150 yen sushi. I would _love_ to get some 150 yen fatty tuna, I don't eat sushi but that's the first thing im getting if I was at that establishment
Just found this channel and really enjoying the content. Your a top geeza as we would say in my part of England where I'm from. Looking forward to the next one
Close to crying everytime I see these videos. As I can see our guy here eating alone. And as we can see, two guys to each of his sides also eating alone. When I read the comments, other men express how they feel lonely in their daily life. And I wish I could befriend you all. I'm myself very lonely. Lost my last friend just a few days ago. So I'm completely by myself exept my family. And I know it hurts. I know it sucks. I dont wish it upon anyone else. I wish happines upon you all. And friendship that last for long
Virtually 50 yo Canadian man here. Today I ate pan fried liver with a Coke Zero while watching my favourite 50 yo Japanese man eat some fine sushi. Arigoto gozymas!
So inexpensive!! In UK these dishes would be 5 times the price at least. But of course some of these items would need to be imported from Asia, which greatly increases cost! Great video post Askjapan!
Sushi-ro was my favorite place when I went to Japan. I went so many times for the cheap price and good quality. My favorite was salmon or shrimp with mozzarella cheese and basil sauce and grape shochu. I will be back quite soon, and I will have to try Hama sushi
This was a great video, had a really cozy feel to it. Thank you! Also, these prices are blowing my mind. In the UK, you'd probably pay around £3-4 per plate (¥550-740) just for one of the non-special plates. I'd spend all day here!
Hey man I have been watching your channel since you used to do those Japan news , I will suggest please bring back that, happy to see your channel is getting bigger now !
This is very cool. I really enjoyed this. Now I want to have sushi today, so I am going to go to a restaurant called "Edo Japan" here in Canada later today. :)
I can feel the extreme trust, quality, and presentation, especially in the squid, tuna fat, and desert. I am not so sure about eating Japanese pig anymore because of the animal size, it makes me feel too many emotions but the fish is always no problem regardless of factors as I love eating the entire fish. It is extremely healthy to eat calcium parts of a fish or any animal which is my favorite part about Japan. Thank you so much for taking me here to your neighborhood and I cherish my whole fish memories , with that wood fire flavor, no one can tease it or joke that it isnt the best flavor! that desert, you have me sold on the fact it may contain raare Japanese minerals and energy in its sugar grain from the best Japanese 🔪
You looked very happy or maybe just very content in this video! Really love seeing Japan from your perspective, I hope we see more adventures like this :)
When you think about how much went into putting those beautifully presented squids on your table, it is crazy that it only cost 110 yen. Any western country would charge you 4-5x that.
Not gonna lie i like the voiceover keep up the great work In Germany there are no way to eat this squid Edit:Your english increased a lot you so keep up
You dinner looks so delicious - and very cheap! Seven sushi's here in Australia would cost around $AU28 (Yen 2,640) or $USD 19! Enjoy your delicious meal 💞💞💞
The prices of sushi are not so different of Brazil, maybe is because we have the largest japanese community outside of Japan. And it's my favorite food.
I think I'm the only person who doesn't like sushi just thinking that i am eating raw fish... but once i tried and i didn´t like! Ohhh barbecue sushi, i think i would like that ehehehhe Hope u have a great time! Kisses from Portugal
Really happy to see different content. I can you're happier when you're outside. You usually look miserable in your home videos. Please stay creative and safe.
I like Sushi very much! They don’t have firefly squid here in the south east USA. I would love to try some though it looks delicious. I could probably only get one or maybe two sushi rolls here for what you payed there. I could spend about $25 to get what you got as a chef special of assorted sushi but they would pick the type of sushi to get the chef special price. I see why you like this place. Very good deal!!!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts about sushi. 🍣 I'm a sushi fan, but I haven't tried the first one. Looks challenging for me 😂 but I'll follow your recommendation.
There is a Hama Sushi about 3 minutes from where I live in Tokyo. The only thing I don't like about Hama Sushi is the taste of the rice. I usually order the sushi and end up not eating most of the rice. The ham and roast beef "sushi" are pretty good. The soy sauce is also very thick in consistency. It is nearly impossible to get in on some days because Hama Sushi is terribly crowded on weekends and during lunch. There is a far better sushi bar closer to me that I really like offering larger cuts of sushi, the rice is superior in flavor and the staff are really great.
Sushi in Japan killed sushi for me in USA. Even the best places here pale in comparison to sushi you get at the train station for equivalent of a few dollars
i love cephalopods because they are the only other species to have undergone anomalous rapid brain grown development apart from us except most of it went towards their vision whereas we just goof around with whatever we got. also silicate filled fossilized cephalopods were referred to as thunderstones by some ancient cultures and used in fertility rites in ancient egypt. they can also be opalized for an even cooler looking effect
You couldn't get a glass of ice water for $.70 in the US. I saw that fatty tuna sushi was 150 yen. That tuna is $6.50 at my sushi restaurant. That's 915 yen! You don't have it so bad over there. I do hear about $1500 bunches of grapes in Japan. I just cook from scratch. The restaurant bills are always 12,000 yen to 15,000 yen for two and almost never as good as my own cooking.
