"I’m a Priority to My Company and My Union,” says TK Elevator Mechanic and IUEC Local 2 Member 

Continuing the ElevatorInfo safety awareness coverage, we met up with Chicago, Illinois-based TK Elevator mechanic Mike Durkin. A longtime member of IUEC - International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 2, Mike is responsible for servicing and maintaining a network of conveyance systems in a large, modern commercial building in the heart of the city.
🔧 “Every day when I come to the job, I know that I am going to be safe and I know that I’ll be effectively able to manage (to maintain) this building because of the training I received through NEIEP (the IUEC’s National Elevator Industry Educational Program), and what I continue to receive on a weekly and monthly basis through TK Elevator,” he said.
