all the best man - just started my channel just struggling to edit the long format vids so uploaded few old shirts for now. This is a lot of work too but atleast you get to be on the tools
I feel your pain mate. Life's hard lessons are like scars - they may fade but never disappear. They're constant reminders of our past, shaping us into who we are. Each scar, a story of resilience and growth, teaches us something invaluable. They're not just marks of pain, but badges of learning and becoming better. Embrace these scars, for they are the true teachers of life, guiding us towards wisdom and strength. You will go on to even greater things! Looking forward to following your journey. 👊
Shame about Loadout Mike but it takes a solid guy to admit when things aren’t working especially when you have a family. I’m looking forward to the new content already 👍🏻
Brave video Mike. You are a class individual, so I have no doubt this is just a blip. Your videos on site have always been great. You'd make a great tutor.....[!] Keep the faith brother
It takes big men to start something from nothing. It takes big men to make the decisions that hold weight. Your wife, kids will benefit from your love, character and leadership. In the tough times, we are always learning and growing. That always stays with you. Hold your chin high Big man, your only getting started! Always looking forward to seeing some more of your work Mike.
Least ur healthy and still here!!!!!! Glad ur happier & healthy, now get your arse back inside a switchboard or a joint hole and do what you love and what we love seeing, like ok after yourself Mikey
totally admire the passion from you mike, sorry to hear about loadout, i personally went to your site multiple times to buy tools but unfortunatly couldnt afford them on an apprentice wage. Hoping to see more educational videos from you soon but if not thats cool too. best of luck mate.
I supported you and brought from you even from the states. Take your time life is not money or businesses when you go from this world you take nothing with you. Get on the tools and that’s where you can make decent money loving what you do. Just find a niche in the industry that’s not easy but for which you can carve out a business get good people around you and then train them to be the best. No doubt you will succeed.
Put it behind you. Don't start on a mental list of what ifs.Just move forward with your wife and forget about the whole experience. I look forward to your new youtube videos. Be lucky.
Let that bad experience make you stronger, tern that pain into a positive. About 15 years ago, a big cock up by a receiver who was winding up a company I was doing work for , lost all my gear, and equipment, what I built up over the years. Your name it I had it. I'm talking £1000s . But I've been building my gear up again I wasn't going to be beaten. Your like me your only happy when your got a piece of cable and some side cutters in your had. It's good to see you back
Bud I was on the tools building a guy a good higherning business on my off my work it drove me to the wall I lost all everything...... wife kids my mental health........ that was 14 years ago I was absolutely broken.... I went back to college did my driving test etc started a business all with in my personal brake up.. long story short if I could rewind time omfg if I only could bud you need to first protect your family first my lesson learned work to live not live to work.... put your wife n family first always... I wouldn't want to see you as broken as I was family first then work always bud.....👏🤝
Gutted mate, I didn’t even realise you closed it until I just went to the website now and looked up your latest videos to find this 😞 Well this is merely just a bump in the road to your success, your way too smart, driven and passionate to not big massively successful Mike. I was such a dumbass at your age and wish I had a head on me like you do at your age, unfortunately it took me 15 years longer 🤦♂️ Oh well I look forward to seeing more of your awesome videos, your on the tools videos are the very best, so diverse and interesting, Sam McDouall always says your videos are the best too, take care my man 👊
You won’t get everything right in life. Try things, persist but know when to fold and move on to something else. Most people are successful in their 40s for that reason.
Great to have you back. I loved Loadout and was gutted when it ceased. What you created was brilliant and stylish and felt like being part of a community. I still wear my Loadout hoodie with pride, but really look after it now ‘cause I can’t get another one. 😢 I can’t wait to see your new videos, really hope you do some more movie stuff - they were hilarious! Thanks again.
Shame to see loadout go, I went on there to buy something a couple of weeks ago and saw the page. I fully get it though, I've been through that tough thing of closing down a business that is eating your life for no profit it's no fun but you are coming back to a trade you love and that you are sh*t hot at. I know you'll have felt the pressure lift already, keep the faith and you'll be golden a few months from now 😁
Listen you rolled the dice it didn't work, least you tried. 70% of people have great ideas and never attempt it. Try not to work for money let money work for you.
Hello mate sorry to hear loadout is finished I know you put a lot of effort into it. Remember it's better to quit whilst you've still got the energy to carry on with other things. Good luck with your future work and you tube content regards Kelly
Welcome back. Really sorry that the company didn’t work out. I know the feeling of having to hang something up that meant a lot to you. You’ve got mad skills and will be killing it again as a spark. Looking forward to new videos. I really enjoy your content. Cheers brother! And hello from Florida!
Good to see you Mike, doesn't always go the way we want but good on you on making the choice for your mental and physical health and your family. We'll still be here regardless, stress less!
Sending you much ❤ from down under. You're still an inspiration and should be proud of what you've achieved. All the best for the future and we'll be here for you
I started as an electrical testing & commissioning engineer, started since 2020 until this year 2023. Worked with full honest, quality, integrity, woke up at 6-7am until past dinner time for most of the days on site. I used to be passionate about what I do. But now seeing how it destroys my mental/physical health worries me. The annual pay growth isn’t colorful as I thought. I don’t spend alot on clothes, I don’t buy flashy cars, I don’t own a house yet, single. I could barely support myself. So I quit. But to be honest I still misses the time doing it., I appreciate the stuffs I learnt throughout these years. I can totally relate what you’re going through Mike, prioritize your health and your family, and move on ! Wish you all the best !
I’ve bought loads of gear from you, especially brands like boddington which I’d never even heard of. Gutted it’s over but looking forward to the videos coming out. Really loved the old videos so I’m looking forward to the videos in the future. ❤
Sorry to hear this Mike. I run my own business too and can certainly relate to the struggles and strains of it all. It's a hard slog and takes it's toll. Keep your chin up mate.
The loadout brand would be good to continue on as your youtube branding & for your electrical contracting business, as you share so much expertise on here that associates well with such branding. The tool reviews alone are worth the watch, even if you no longer participate in any cutthroat retail anymore. You know what works well & know what those in the field use & pay attention to and can back said products with confidence. A true expert you are which is what keeps RU-vid relevant for many.
Good to see you back at the helm of doing what you enjoy but it's great to know your (and family's) health and well-being is intact after Loadout. Kudos for having a crack at it during seriously difficult times and being up against ridiculous margins and the non-CE counterfeits. Even more kudos for making the tough - but right - decision for you and yours. Onwards and upwards fella, looking forward to the next one. 👊
Well done for taking that hard choice and doing what is best for yourself and your family. A lot of people would have kept grinding themselves down to nothing, so it takes a big man to do what you did.
Jeeez Mike i found out yesterday that Loadout was no more. That is such a shame and i’m really sorry to see this. Keep going mate and like you said the channel will now thrive from the dedication you will put into it. It was one of the best Electricians Channels on youtube as it was so imagine now with the extra time you will put into it where it will potentially go. Please just one word of advice....don’t let the subscriber numbers target get in the way of your fantastic content as it seems to have done with other channels on here especially turning the channel into a gloating tool sponsorship fest. Your stuff is super interesting and to the point. So long as you keep it varied an engaging the sky is the limit for you mate! Good luck Mike mate 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
They have to advertise to make money to make the content so imo it can’t be helped. If he does abit of advertising it’s not the end of the world. All that matters is the content is good quality and people can educate themselves with it.
Sad to see Loadout closed, found out when I went to do an order. Running a business of that nature is completely different to the contracting side of things so mad respect to you for giving it a go. Probably good that you realised there were issues and took the decision to close before it becomes a much bigger problem. All the best to you and your family for the future.
Brother this take some balls and you follow your dreams which took some balls, no doubt you will come back fighting can’t wait some what future brings 👊🏻🤓
Sad to hear about loadout but it’s a tough market to crack alright. Happy to hear you’ll be posting more on the tools content, that’s why we all subscribe. Hopefully you’ll see a good return with the YT revenue. All the best going forward.
This sounds eerily similar to my dad's story (albeit he was in the leather trade); setting up a factory, the long hours, the pay, undercut by cheap imports that he couldn't compete with and eventually made the business non viable. In his words, the biggest mistake was trying to keep it going (that was mostly out of loyalty to the staff that worked there). Keep on keeping on.
Good luck in the future Mike, you really do have the best electrical channel out there. You have a gift when it comes to editing etc. looking forward to the new videos. There’s no point in working like a mad man for minimum wage even if it is your dream, you’re family and sanity come first. Good to hear your doing ok, take care.
Welcome back Mike. Love your videos and looking forward to seeing more. Hard decision about Loadout, but you will have learned so much from the experience that will serve you well in the future. Chin up 👍
Welcome back big man, sorry things didn't work with loadout, was a good site. Only got to use it once, but it was fantastic range. Gutted I didn't get any of the merch. Much love fella. Look forward to more great content. Take care 😁
Sorry to hear about your shop ultimately not working out for you. You will have no issues earning good money. You are a top notch spark and you would be an asset to any electrical business!
Respect for you Mike, you chased your dreams, and tried that had lots of respect from me. Will keep following your video's anyway! Thanks and all the best for the future!
Sorry to hear that dude, i used loadout couple times was great. I understand the grind im on it also. In my optioion you have the capability to be the top spark channel on youtube !
Well done mate, the only true failure is not trying. Some people hold on to a "mistake" too long because they made it. Well done for trying to be different
Better to have given it a go than never tried mate, onward and upwards eh. I know plenty that started up a biz, talking about when it doesn't go to plan, so fair play to you 👍
Sorry about the tough business decision. It takes so much to create somethin from nothin. It also takes balls to admit defeat... I'm glad you will be back on the Tube making your top notch field videos. I'm an industrial service electrician in the US, and I've always enjoyed watching your level of craftsmanship and knowledge. You are a certified badass sir. 🫡⚡️ Cheers Mike ✌️
great news Mike followed you for a few years and love all your videos. shame about load out but family 1st and now you are back doing what you love. All the very best going forward and i look forward to lots of new content 😍
Both you and your wife are grafters, your channel is excellent, and you have spoken openly about your ups and downs, which is both brave and honest. good luck to you and family, i have a feeling it will all be ok mate.
Gutted for you. Loadout looked like a good brand and you can see you put your heart & soul into it. New businesses are hard and i dont know anyone that hasnt suffered bumps in the road and ups and downs as they go. Dont forget, what doesnt kill you makes you stronger. Best of luck with the next phase. Onwards a upwards.
So sorry for you that Loadout didn't work but in a way it may be for the best in the long term as there are some massive players in the tool industry and if you had stuck with it for the next 20 years I feel it would still be a struggle Looking forward to more content from you.
Welcome back Mike. Glad to see you are ok. I was a big fan of Loadout and it’s a shame you had to shut it down. But you are a really talented person and I have no doubt you will succeed. I can’t wait to watch your future videos.
Hey Mike: Sorry that loadout didn't work out the way you wanted, but your health and family are way more important. It's nice to see you back here, hope everything works out for you from now on.
All the best for the future Mike. That must have been a tough decision to make, sounds like you've called it right. You've already got a good subscriber base for your channel (you can tell from the positive comments on here) you'll be a 100k plus channel in no time. Again all the best, Pete 👍
Sorry to hear about load out going down but good on you for giving it a shot , gotta takr care of your health bro cuz its the no1 priority. Without your health you wouldn't have anything, I'm glad to see you back on here. You'll learn from it and develop yourselfm proud of you man
As the saying goes when one door closes another door opens mate and that’s how you have got to look at it sometimes. Just got to be positive and for your skills your easy worth 8-10k a month and that’s without your misses working. Enjoy your time with your family over Xmas and come back new year with that new motivation. 👊
