I had a burn out because I went through a family divorce in the middle of covid and got depressed. Your channel has been so inspiring and I praise you for how hard you've worked on RU-vid all these years. Ive learned so much from you and Remi about how you need to put yourself first. Totally get where you’re coming from! Im at a stage in life where I’m graduating from university in a few months and have absolutely no clue what’s next for me, which honestly terrifies me because I don’t have that linear direction anymore like i’ve had the past 22 years. I’ve decided to take kinda like a gap year to “figure my sh*t out” and I’ve changed my perspective to take it slow and not rush any decisions based on societal pressures. Everyone is on their own timeline and I think it’s enlightening to accept that because at the end of the day your happiness and well-being matters 💕It may be scary in the moment but I trust everything works out in the end.

First I want to mention how much I love not only your content but your personality! In any industry, there are so many expectations set on people that are not unachievable but definitely overwhelming. I wanted to drop out of my fashion program in my first and second year because I was struggling with mental health and thought it was not meant for me. I stuck with it through the help of my support system and therapy and I am now finishing up my final assignment and will be graduating this year. I can say today, it was worth the struggle, but as a creative, I am burnt out and have decided to take a few months to myself and work at my part-time job until I am ready to start something new. Alisha, I love your videos and would like to encourage you to take life at your pace and not the pace society is yelling at you to take. The creator of all things, our heavenly father is also a creator and still rested on the seventh day, and created everything in perfect timing. I believe in you girl, and will support you in everything you create :)

I took a solo trip to nyc as well back in 2019 when I was feeling lost and sad! Came back feeling completely inspired, empowered and confident

I totally understand what you’re feeling! Am I a RU-vidr? No. Am I a content creator? No. But I am 34 and totally changed careers between 29-30. I quit my great job with the government with retirement, insurance, and money to travel to work in ministry and now in mental health. I cannot understand how you feel as an influencer or content creator, but I do understand growing older and realizing that you want more in life and what you are currently doing doesn’t fit anymore. Search for what makes you feel joy and leaves a legacy of love and kindness behind. Our parents’ generation got one job and worked it until retirement, but that’s not how is works anymore. The question that kept coming back to me was “what am I putting into this world?” Find something that matters to you then put your whole heart into it 💛

I would love to see you living alone in an apartment or something. Maybe even next to your sister, but I think It would be super great for you to change your lifestyle outside RU-vid and start a life project like... Decorating the entire house as you wish, creating your own independient routine... And then cross the street and visiting your friends and sister. I don't know haha I just feel this is going to be your next step. On the other hand, sometimes I think about why big RU-vidrs didn't try to get retire earlier and became free of this stressful life. This resonated so deep with me. I’ve felt lost for the past few months but can’t exactly figure out why. I finally graduated college and started a dream job. Got a new puppy which is basically my baby. But still feel completely isolated from life and everyone around me. Everyone else is able to live life and I’m just stuck. I've been on a mental rollercoaster ride with RU-vid since I first discovered it back in early 2005. I was so drawn to it, but I didn't make any videos. There wasn't too many people making videos at the time. I could have been one of the first OGs of RU-vid and for years that messed with my head. I've made peace with it. I uploaded my introduction video in December 2016, but I wasn't consistent. Sometimes I think I'm meant to create content for RU-vidrs only lol. I'm too creative and full of so many ideas!!! I literally have a book of original ideas that can possibly set off someone's channel and that makes me excited!!! Alisha, my relationship with RU-vid is much healthier because of you and I have to thank you for that ❤️

It’s not just influencers who are burnt out. It’s the whole world, people who don’t have the luxury of flying to New York City. I don’t understand the life of an influencer, but what I do know is that you and others are extremely privileged in this society. You have to ability to not do your job and still get paid more than a persons salary.
