Congratulations on your next chapter, hopefully you can keep the trucks for pleasure use. You can take the trucker out of the truck but you will always be a truck guy. Wishing you and your family all the best.
@@mikethetrucknut Mike look out we could be looking at the next Kenworth Truck salesman, King Kenworth Chad. Both of you remain calm James P is Only a Captain long way from a King
After years and years of truckin I changed it up by driving a dump truck, it's like being a kid in a sand box. But starting to get the itch to go back to trucking, just needed a recharge.
Oh my! Done? How am I supposed to get my K100 fix? Hoping all goes well for you. Your videos have been a huge inspiration to me and my trucking venture. I've learned a lot from you. Thanks buddy!
I get where your at. I'm a OTR O/O. The market sucks. But I'll never give up the truck. Or trucking. I'm gonna stick it out and enjoy the road as that's why I love it. I still pay the bills and make money. Just gotta look harder and find the right loads or company(s) to work with/for. But good luck. Hope to see the passion come back one day.
Thanks Mike, I still love the trucks and the thoughts entertaining but I’m enjoying the time with my wife and will probably move in the direction that she can go with me but it won’t be in those trucks..
I hate to hear this Chad! But you have to do what best for you. Thank you for all the memories that you gave me looking out that windshield again. After trucking from ages 18-28 I went back to college and got a degree. I have now been a machinist / Tool and Die maker for about 25 years now. Some days I miss trucking really bad but on the other hand I have a stable income doing what I do now. I will keep up with you to see you in the next chapter. Thanks again for the memories!
U will be miss in the Rail yard, am Schneider Driver i see this guys next to me dropping a trailer i went over an said hey man nice truck Because am use to old truck on the island.he was humble enough to say come an check it out 💪🏿😎🙏🏿
Go for it. Whatever works for you and Kim. I've changed direction a few times, but i'ts still me doing it. Like Janis Joplin said 'It's all the same fucking day and it's all the same fucking place'
Hate to hear it Chad. But you Gotta do what’s best for you is what it really boils down to. Good luck with whatever new adventure you get into brother😎😎😎👍👍👍
Sad day to hear this Chad I've watched you for along time and always enjoyed seeing you trucking an keeping those old girls going. But whatever makes you happy man! We all need a break sometimes. I'll still be subscribed!
Good luck with the next chapter Chad! I walked away from the Railroad 4 yrs ago, because the lifestyle had worn me down, and I haven't looked back. So I totally get it! Now I can appreciate trains from a distance and I'm happy about that. I'm sure you will be the same way about trucks. Although you can keep a truck in your driveway and drive it lol, not something I'm able to do with a train! 😁
Right on man do what you want, I left the factory life a little over a year ago now and haven't looked back. Operated a brake press for 16yrs and I don't miss it. So on to a new chapter. Took time off to find myself and still not 100% on what I want to do but like you said there's plenty of options. Lookin to get my cdl as a career or backup plan. I don't let life stress me like I use to and it's been awesome with this whole new outlook. Cheers dude 🍻
Man this sucks 😪 enjoyed your videos. Hope you find what your looking for on your next adventure . We all are gonna miss you hope you keep making video up dates
Sorry to hear the news. I wish you the best luck in whatever you decide to do. On the bright side, maybe now you’ll have the opportunity to get back into church. 💒
Sorry to hear the news chad but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.i was in trucking for 15 years and loved every minute of it but theres no money in the job.i now drive trains for 3 times what i made trucking.still miss it though.
O-H-I-O Porters wish you safe travels & a Merry Christmas! 🇺🇸 Well, I’m a little shocked, but when one door closes another one opens. The main thing is to enjoy what you can & get prepared for the next step. Clean those rigs up a bit, fuel em up & make them ready for the winter. You never know when you might have to clean the snow off & get them wheels a rollin again! 🧐 Have you been thinking about this for some time or is this a recent decision? Hope that all goes well for ya & we shall look to see what you show next. It’s gettin kinda cold to be messin around with them big trucks, but we shall do what we can. I haven’t decided if I’m coming up to check out those rigs at the shop or not. Will let you know on that one, too. Take care my friend! 🥰❄️✌️
@@1ChadKeegan 🇺🇸 Well buddy, I’m with ya. I know things have been getting a bit rough in the trucking industry, but keep your trucks ready for when things get better. I hope & pray that they do soon! I have a buddy here that wants to expand his fleet. Who knows. We sure need our truckers! Have a blessed & safe Christmas! 🥰😎✌️
Hate seeing you leave trucking but it's your happiness and well being that matters most. Will have to keep in touch, good luck with your next chapter Chad.
James can you get him a job as a Co-Pilot. Can you imagine being in your seat and the announcement comes over the intercom I'm Your captain James and your co-pilot is Chad said back and enjoy the in-flight videos of RU-vid
If I may quote a movie of mine...Hello lady's.. better to burn out than fade away...awesome ride least you can say with pride I did that...till I could no more.. Have a safe and happy holidays
Hey Friend!! I wish you and your wife happiness in whatever you do!! I know you will succeed in it!!! You got to keep your channel going Lord I’d miss it!!! 🎉
I've enjoyed watching your videos. I want to get into trucking, and am hoping to buy my own K100 Aerodyne by the end of 2023, if you have the aerodyne at that point and are willing to sell it I would love to buy it.
Good luck giving up my CDL was hard to turn in I every thing turns out right for you an Kim take care be safe out there buddy hope you find a great job we will miss you an the trucks
Some times it's batter to take a break and look around going to miss the trucks and seeing you work on them I understand and I hope you get back in your trucks and keep on trucking
@@1ChadKeegan Brother Chad I got a Bone Infection and got really Sick spent a month in the hospital. Doing better now So weird l was thinking that I need to get caught up on your videos. Then today I saw your video about you going to Stop driving Truck. Brother it broke my Heart hearing you say that you are going to Stop driving. I Pray that everything is okay with you and your family it's just that your such a Strong Willed Man nothing could or would STOP you you Love those Trucks so much. Brother if you need a break You and Kim are always welcome here in my house in Florida take yourself a little vacation clear your mind. I will definitely be thinking and Praying and Caring for you and your family...
At the end of the day we all need a break from time to time. I get it. I been back otr for over a year now after two years local I been considering taking a break myself I got a old mustang gt and an old Harley Softail heritage you can only do so much in a 34 hour restart an I'm making more money where I'm at than I ever did at any other place I worked at trucking or otherwise. I get it man take a break it'll do you some good your health is your wealth in this world.
Join the club Chad, I got out in 2014, working 70 hours a week making $800 a week. There is just no money it, trucks take a lot of money to keep them on the road and the rates are not in line with it.
Chadd real sorry to hear this news ,I've looked forward to your video,s but I guess the good thing with the older trucks is you can park up until rates improve and fuel prices go back normal real prices .Can I ask what you did before the trucks ,myself have been in trucking 40 years but with many breaks to try other things how about you mate ,do you have a trade .with your patience maybe work in a truck dealership or parts ,I'm sure you will be fine ,your a nice guy ,so best wishes for Xmas and new year to you and Kim and family and I will stay subscribed and waiting on your next venture .Thank you for the channel Cheers Kym Adelaide
Hey Chad if you're tired of the upkeep on the 2 cabovers you have @Trucking Together might be putting their Red 2009 W9 up for sale. I said MIGHT. They just bought a new used aero Pete. They bought it used but most of the time they did drop and hooks with it from Sacramento to Denver and back. It does real good going up those mountains out there but since there are nothing but little hills where you are it should get great MPG. Like i said it's a Might be. Take car if you're really calling it quits Stay safe dude.
Maybe it’s just time to take a break for a bit. Maybe come spring things will look different. I know a lot of bull is wearing all of us down with fuel and all the other stuff it’s getting harder to make a buck. Best of luck to ya I’ll keep watching
@@1ChadKeegan I’ve got the bell on so will always keep watching and like me you own all what you run so it’s a good position to be in and you enjoy your beer and family you sure deserve it both trucking and entertaining us all bud 👍
That's funny, same thought is on my mind...up in upper Ohio at base waiting for a simple part for my heater ....been crossing my mind to go to enterprise and rent a car to go back to Florida....simple break downs are turning major, and major is...........
Honestly good luck and expecially when you can retire or shit it down cause there are a lot of truckers wanting to do the same but just came at this moment. Trucking done turned into a LIFESTYLE JOB... LOL really is definitely not worth it anymore. When it's time sorry it's time. It's just too way to much in this game and if the down side over takes the upside then yeah.... But good luck to ya brother and Thanx for ya service while u was in it
Well Chad, not sure what's going on and why your hanging up the keys but I hope all works out for you and the wife... I would love to retire myself from Trucking but, just not there yet. Bill's to pay, debt to pay and a house to build so it will be a while unless I win that power ball... HOOAH!!!
One man working two trucks, yep, I can see that burning out a man. Sad, because I understand that there are probably more people leaving the trucking industry than getting into it. As the saying goes, "if you got it, a trucker brought it", so what's going to happen when there are no truckers? Ain't gonna be pretty. Take a break, take care of yourself, maybe you will decide to return, perhaps with just one truck, or you might find something else to do. At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you.
well, it was a good ride while it lasted. do some more roll and bounce stuff, i liked that as well. I guess it is up to James now to keep the cabovers going.
This isn't because I'm not watching as much as I used to, is it? I've just been real busy, you know. ;) All the best and I hope we're still going to see Chad Keegan out there somewhere. Take Care. 👍
Oh no are you serious are you really Going to quit trucking that’s bad my friend but times are hard I hope you keep making RU-vid videos my brother be safe whatever you try to do
Become a tanker yanker. Call Jason Herzog owner of Appalachian tank lines Smethport,PA. I know a 73 yr old man sold his chip trailer after 16 yrs to yank a tank with his Petercar.
Nah I don’t blame you I’m burned out myself I could use a good long break and I think it would rekindle some interest wish I could insure Garrett and just turn him loose
All the best buddy. Kinda new years ago the trucking industry as we know it is going south. Especially todays political agenda to push away from fossil fueled powered vehicles to electric. It's all deliberate. Most got no clue what's going on. Still gonna hold on to me ol girl though for pleasure. Be good to see what you got planned. As for me it's learning about Forex Trading. Risky but oh well. Such is life. Nothing ventured nothing gained. All the best😀🚀💯
IF it’s in you quitting isn’t even in the equation. If you can quit, walk away and not miss it it wasn’t in you to begin with. I suppose walking away to find out which one you are is the only way to find out.
Omg , I’ve been living my dream through you , your trucks, your channel and from of all the channels across the USA, it’s your life I would love to have , very proud of you and I would like to wish you and your wife all the very best luck . Going to miss you . Take care my friend .Carl uk ……
Bruce Willis so by your trucks and give you a full price for them if you want to get out so check his channel while Bruce Wilson. On RU-vid and leave him a comment or two he will buy trucks cuz he loves cabovers
hey chad how bout ya,, your'e not the first to quit and you sure as shit wont be the last,(i lost count how many times i walked away in my 45 years of it) hard to keep the old girls up to scratch and pouring money into them, and keeping them shiny, have a rest from it ,clear the head and then decide, you could always get that Marmon of james's going and drive that for him!! anyways driver take it easy but take it! we gone
@@1ChadKeegan insurance is $1100 a year and that with my 2 trailers insured also… try not to part with em if you can help it! progressive has insured me that way for 10+ years now, have any questions that might help ya feel free to ask!😎
