I started carnivore. Biggest tip I can give you is DONT QUIT. First week was pretty bad. Running flatbed, folding tarps, and throwing chains was tough while my body was adjusting to not having all that garbage. I mostly eat ribeyes and ground beef. Fat is key. Fat from fatty meats is what is converted to energy. I usually eat once a day. You can eat as much as you want. You’ll learn you want less and are more satiated. I drink water, eat fatty meat with salt. I used to drink coffee in the morning and a monster after lunch. Now I only drink water.

For the w9 get a Green APU and never look back. You won't regret it. I love mine.

Going from really warm temps to cold temps. Tire pressure will drop. Watch on your tpms and you'll see. From 120 psi in the warm temps fereheight, you will see when you return to cold temps that psi will be about 100 psi and back to close to 120 when summer temps arrive. Or drive into a warmer region. Like when i used to do Maryland to canada and return.

If you like the 579, but want a more hood feel, find a 567. You could wait in a 589, but they haven’t put those with an ultraloft cab, that I know of.

Protein! Meat, peanuts, peanut butter, beef jerky, canned white chicken, salads and yes if you are full protein a 1/4 to 1/2 bottle of required dressing to give it flavor and eatable will be fine. Nutrigrain bars with peanut butter on em and a glass of skim milk is also filling and works on protein. I’ve lost a lot of weight with protein. I’m happy for you on the truck and starting to grow your fleet!

The peterbuilt I had (2023) averaged 8.5 over 100k miles. Also with food I ate once a day and tried to make sure I ate only protein and veggies, a lot of it

Carnivore diet absolutely works. Plus, grab yourself, some bow flex, adjustable, kettle bells, and a jump room and you’ll have everything you need on your truck to stay fit.

I highly recommend the carnivore diet. I worked out a deal with my local grocery store meat dept manager where I can get whole boneless prime rib roasts for $7-$8/lb if I buy several at a time. I then cut them up into 2" thick ribeye steaks with a 10" breaking knife, vacuum seal and freeze them. Then I cook them in the Joule air fryer. For my size, I eat two of those per day which comes out to approximately four primals per month (sometimes five), or around $600/mo. On a sidenote, while in trucking school I found Justin and have been glued to his channel trying to absorb as much as I can. He recently talked about you and how he did the same but with your channel while he was in trucking school. Kinda neat. Anyways, I only eat ribeye steaks with butter and Himalayan salt with the occasional side of pasture raised basted eggs and only water. For carbonation, I drink La Croix carbonated spring water and of course I still drink my black coffee in the morning. The key is the transition in the beginning. You'll want to take 2-3 weeks transitioning from the standard American diet to your new proper human diet (carnivore). How are you going to maintain this while on the road? Well, obviously I'm not on the road yet but my plan is to have some sort of air fryer in place of a truck microwave in some form or fashion. I currently line a roasting pan and catch/drip pan with aluminum foil. Then the grease can just be dumped and wiped clean after each cook (at home I only do that every so often). It's so simple and it frees you from the standard American diet addiction. I can be hungry in a gas station, area of fast foods and not feel compelled to buy their poison. There's more to it than this like intermittent fasting and whatnot but what I mentioned is more of an overall concept in relation to this type of business. We can talk more if needed outside of RU-vid comments. 🫡

Carnivore diet is good but like Mike Mentzer said, healthy carbs like rice will not cause you to gain weight, they aren’t processed and your body breaks them down, that’s why you see a lot of bodybuilders eat meat and rice even during cutting, because it doesn’t put on weight. Carbs are necessary as it hydrates your muscles, that’s the “Hydrate” in Carbohydrate. You can cut them out of your diet completely if you are overweight though since your body has an abundance.

I have a 2015 579 and it has been crap and I bought it NEW. Engine (Cummins) down 3 times and is going in the shop again tomorrow. It is crap and always has been. My solution, retirement this year. 13 speed btw.

I lost 55 pounds just by eliminating calories from drinks and side dishes. So try to eat healthy though. Like if you snack going down the road go for fruits and maybe nuts. Chicken, beef, fish is all good. It’s all about calories and how many you consume. If you have to get fast food try to eliminating extra unnecessary calories like fries, macaroni , mash potatoes. The side dishes is what gets you to over eat. So try to get veggies with your steak.

I would not listen to his friend the old school way is the only way! If its not pre 99 you can kerp it! And if its pre 1990 its even better! You can get 10mpg with a big cam cummins 3 with the right gearing!
