I don't like the idea of sending players on long, like what happened to Saliba. Throw caution to the wind and throw the young lads to the deep end. It gives them confidence, look at Mainoo, Yamal, Williams etc. Some of the senior players make mistakes day in day out. Zinchencho is a case in point.

Saka never went on loan (Nelson did) and Hutchinson did appear for Chelsea but only briefly before going on loan and being sold for a big profit. Me too but better he gets a chance to flap his wings and fly than to sit sadly on the bench for literally thousands of minutes. He seems to have always maintained his professionalism while his heart must have been getting heavier and heavier. I feel more sorry for that than losing him. The Versatility of the Arsenal team means that we can line up 3 different premier league team with only 20 players…..I did the permutations…including calafiori, and without ESR, Eddie and Nelson. However , the downside is that if we have the likes of Declan, Saka and Odegard who are irreplaceable quality wise….thats why we need at least 3 more signings…midfield (8/6), winger (7/11) and striker (9/7/11)

Sentiment in top level sport costs you trophies...you need to be ruthless. We should flog all our injury prone passengers and replace them with high quality players that can play 30-50 games without breaking when they touch a blade of grass. No point in having players like Tierney, partey, smith rowe and even players like Tomiyasu, Vieira and Jesus when they spend so much of the season out injured...they are out months at a time then take 2-3 games to get their flow back, just to get injured again. That makes them effectively useless. Timber gets a pass for now, but same for him if he becomes a regular sick note. Sell them and don't let sentiment and favouritism get in the way of getting in the solid quality players who are built to last and play that are needed to win. It makes a better squad plus better continuity on the pitch for getting results over the course of the season in all competitions.
